The Deepal S07 is a mid-size electric SUV produced by Deepal, a subsidiary of Changan Automobile. Launched in 2023, the S07 offers both battery electric (EV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, catering to diverse driving needs.

Performance and Powertrain

• EV Variant: Equipped with a single electric motor delivering up to 258 horsepower, the EV model offers a range of up to 620 kilometers on a full charge, depending on the battery configuration.

  EREV Variant: Combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine serving as a range extender with an electric motor producing approximately 238 horsepower. This setup provides an electric-only range between 121 to 200 kilometers, with a total range extending up to 1,200 kilometers.

• Design and Dimensions

Designed under the leadership of Bertrand Bach in Turin, Italy, the S07 features a sleek and aerodynamic profile with a drag coefficient of 0.258 Cd. Its dimensions are 4,750 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, offering a spacious interior for passengers.

Interior and Technology

The cabin boasts a modern design with advanced technological features, including a 12.3-inch head-up display (HUD) and a centrally positioned infotainment screen running Huawei's Harmony OS, powered by Snapdragon 8155 chips. The vehicle is equipped with Huawei's "Qiankun Smart Driving" ADS SE autonomous driving system, enabling intelligent assisted driving in various scenarios such as highways and urban expressways.

Safety

In December 2024, the Deepal S07 received commendable safety ratings from Euro NCAP, achieving 95% in adult occupant protection, 87% in child occupant protection, 74% in vulnerable road users protection, and 77% in safety assist features.
