Enthusiast communities and aftermarket support remain strong, making restoration and ownership accessible even today.

The Ford Capri competed with cars such as the Opel Manta, Volkswagen Scirocco, and Toyota Celica. The Manta was its closest rival in Europe, offering similar sporty styling, while the Scirocco emphasized modern design, and the Celica added Japanese reliability. The Capri stood out with its wide engine range, affordable pricing, and reputation as the “everyman’s sports coupe.”
