GMC Vandura

Introduction

The GMC Vandura was introduced in the 1960s as part of General Motors’ lineup of full-size vans, sharing much with the Chevrolet G-Series. Produced until the mid-1990s, the Vandura became a staple for businesses, families, and even custom van enthusiasts. The GMC Vandura competed with the Ford Econoline, Dodge Ram Van, and later the Chevrolet Express (its eventual successor). The Econoline emphasized fleet reliability, the Ram Van offered competitive pricing, and the Express replaced the Vandura with more modern features. The Vandura distinguished itself with its versatility, popularity in custom van culture, and iconic presence in American automotive history.
