MHero 1

The Mhero 1, also known as the M-Hero 917, is a full-size luxury electric SUV developed by Dongfeng Motor Corporation under the M-Hero brand. Introduced in 2023, the Mhero 1 combines robust off-road capabilities with advanced electric performance.

Performance and Powertrain

The Mhero 1 is available in two configurations:

• Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV): Equipped with four electric motors, this version delivers a combined output of 1,088 horsepower and 1,400 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4.2 seconds. The 142.7 kWh battery provides a WLTP range of up to 450 km.

• Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV): This variant features a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine acting as a generator, paired with three electric motors. It offers a total output of 800 horsepower and an electric-only range of around 200 km.

Dimensions and Design

The Mhero 1 measures 4,987 mm in length, 2,080 mm in width, and 1,935 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. Its design emphasizes a commanding presence, featuring a bold front fascia, sharp lines, and flared wheel arches. The interior is crafted with premium materials, including fine wood, satin-finished steel, and luxurious leather, providing a sophisticated and comfortable environment.

Off-Road Capabilities

Designed for exceptional off-road performance, the Mhero 1 boasts:

• Three Differential Locks: Ensuring continuous traction across all wheels in challenging terrains.

• Rear Wheel Steering Assistance: With a minimum turning radius of 5.1 meters, it offers enhanced maneuverability in tight spaces.

• Crab Moving Mode: Allows diagonal movement at low speeds by synchronizing the rear wheels with the front, facilitating navigation in difficult off-road conditions.

• Impressive Angles: Features a fording depth of up to 900 mm, a tilt angle of up to 40% (approximately 21.8°), and a climbing capability of up to 100% on suitable terrain.
