BMW 750Li STANDARD

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 6.0 seconds
• Naturally aspirated 4.8L V8
• 88-litre fuel tank standard

Summary

This 2008 BMW 750Li is an exceptional find for a buyer seeking a luxury flagship with relatively low mileage for its 18 years of age. Having covered just 113,000 km, it sits well below the typical GCC average for this generation, representing a rare opportunity to own the refined E66 chassis in its final production year. The 4.8-litre V8 provides effortless highway power, and the classic white exterior remains one of the most desirable colors for resale and heat management in the region. For an executive sedan of this era, the combination of long-wheelbase rear legroom and high-speed stability makes it a superior alternative to newer, smaller cars at a similar price point. The single most important factor for a GCC buyer is the regional cooling spec and the proven durability of the N62 naturally aspirated engine when maintained.

This Car vs Other 2008 750Lis

With only 113,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged approximately 6,200 km per year, which is significantly lower than the 20,000–25,000 km typically seen in the GCC market. The white exterior is a major advantage for local buyers, offering the best heat rejection and maintaining a strong resale profile. Finding a final-year E66 with this specific mileage profile is increasingly difficult in the UAE.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As a 750Li, this model features the long-wheelbase body as standard, providing substantial rear legroom compared to the 750i. It also steps up to the 4.8L V8 over the 740Li's smaller engine, delivering 367 hp and 490 Nm of torque. Standard high-spec equipment for this trim includes a premium audio system, a glass sunroof, and soft-close doors, features that remain highly sought after by luxury buyers.

750Li vs Segment Rivals

The 750Li leads its class in driving dynamics compared to the Mercedes-Benz S500 and Lexus LS460 of the same era. Its 88-litre fuel tank is ideal for long-distance cruising between emirates, offering a superior highway range. While the Lexus focuses on softness, the BMW provides a more engaged steering feel and highway stability that is better suited to fast-moving UAE motorways.

Running Costs & Resale

The naturally aspirated V8 is designed for high-octane petrol, with fuel consumption averaging around 11.4 L/100km on a combined cycle. Authorized BMW service centers are widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts for the E66 generation remain accessible. While flagship luxury sedans typically see 12-15% annual depreciation in the GCC, this low-mileage example is likely to hold its value better than higher-mileage counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The 367 hp V8 engine delivers a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited) and a 0–100 km/h time of 6.0 seconds. This performance is perfectly tuned for highway overtaking and long-distance comfort at sustained speeds. The 6-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic control ensures smooth power delivery, whether navigating city traffic in Dubai or cruising towards Muscat.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the long-wheelbase experience, offering 500 litres of boot space and expansive rear legroom for five occupants. High-performance air conditioning is a hallmark of the GCC-spec 7 Series, designed to maintain cabin comfort during extreme summer temperatures. Premium leather surfaces and integrated sunblinds enhance the executive environment for long cross-country drives.

Safety

This 750Li is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features including multiple airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and Traction Control (DTC). The adaptive headlights and front and rear parking sensors provide critical assistance in fast-moving highway traffic and tight urban parking. Its heavy, rigid chassis offers substantial passive safety, a key reason it remains a popular choice for family transport.

The bottom line

This is a rare chance for a collector or luxury enthusiast to acquire a low-mileage, final-year E66 750Li that has clearly been preserved well below local usage averages.
