Summary

This 2009 Land Cruiser 70 Series pickup is a rare find in the GCC, presenting with exceptionally low mileage that makes it a prime candidate for collectors or heavy-duty desert use. As a GCC-spec LC79 LX, it features the legendary Beige exterior that is widely regarded as the strongest resale color in the regional used market. The 4.0L V6 petrol engine provides the mechanical simplicity and durability required to withstand extreme summer heat and rugged terrain. For a buyer seeking the ultimate indestructible workhorse or a low-mileage weekend overlander, this specific truck offers a level of preservation that is virtually impossible to find for its model year.

This Car vs Other 2009 Land Cruiser 70s

With only 6,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits in a different category than typical 2009 models, which often exceed 200,000 km in the GCC. The Beige exterior is the most sought-after color for this model in the region, ensuring it holds its value better than white or darker variants. This is a collector-grade example of the LC79 that has been spared the typical wear and tear of desert utility work.

LC79 LX vs Lower Trims

The LX trim elevates this workhorse with essential upgrades including power windows and central locking, which are often absent on base utility variants. It also includes the high-mounted snorkel and chrome exterior accents that define the classic GCC Land Cruiser look. Inside, the LX offers improved fabric seating and better interior finishing, making long highway drives between Emirates significantly more comfortable.

Land Cruiser 70 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol Safari pickup, the Land Cruiser 70 offers superior resale value and a more extensive service network that reaches every corner of the GCC. While modern pickups focus on digital displays, this LC79 leads with mechanical longevity and a 130-litre fuel capacity designed for long-range desert expeditions. Its solid axle suspension provides a level of off-road durability that monocoque-based rivals cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

This vehicle utilizes the robust 1GR-FE V6 engine, which is compatible with standard petrol grades found across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Maintenance is straightforward with 5,000 km or 10,000 km service intervals, supported by the widest authorized service network in the region. Toyota Land Cruisers typically experience the lowest depreciation rates in the GCC, and a low-mileage LX trim like this often appreciates as a classic.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L V6 delivers a proven 228 horsepower, optimized for low-end torque to pull through deep sand or haul heavy loads. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity and a manual 5-speed gearbox, the driver maintains total control over the powertrain in challenging conditions. The 235 mm ground clearance and part-time 4WD system with a high/low range transfer case make it one of the most capable off-road vehicles ever sold in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cabin is designed for functional durability, featuring an air conditioning system specifically engineered to provide rapid cooling in 50°C summer temperatures. The LX trim adds fabric upholstery and a basic audio system, providing a focused driving environment free from distracting electronics. Storage is prioritized with a large glovebox and door pockets, ideal for long cross-border road trips.

Safety

Safety is focused on structural integrity and essential driver aids, including an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and dual front airbags. The body-on-frame construction provides a robust safety cell for off-road environments. Side-impact beams and a reinforced chassis ensure the vehicle remains stable and protective even when fully loaded or navigating steep dunes.

The bottom line

For the serious GCC enthusiast who values mechanical purity and ultra-low mileage, this beige LC79 LX is an irreplaceable opportunity to own an off-road legend in near-factory condition.
