Summary

The 2010 Infiniti FX35 Excellence remains a standout in the luxury crossover segment, blending the heart of a sports car with the versatility of an SUV. Powered by the legendary 3.5-litre VQ-series V6 engine, this GCC-spec example offers reliable performance tailored for local road conditions and extreme summer temperatures. Its aggressive, shark-like profile ensures it retains a modern presence on the road compared to more conservative rivals. For a buyer in the GCC, this listing represents a balance of high-spec luxury and proven mechanical durability from a brand with an extensive regional support network. It is the ideal choice for those who prioritize a driver-centric experience without sacrificing the space needed for family life.

This Car vs Other 2010 FX35s

With 171,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 12,000 km per year, which is significantly below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km. This lower-than-average usage for its age makes it a compelling option for those seeking a well-preserved engine. The Brown exterior is a sophisticated choice that holds up well against the region's dust while maintaining a strong resale profile in the pre-owned luxury market.

EXCELLENCE vs Lower Trims

The Excellence trim elevates the FX35 experience by including the advanced Around View Monitor, providing a virtual 360-degree bird's-eye view that is invaluable for parking in tight city spots. It also adds premium quilted leather upholstery and the high-fidelity 11-speaker Bose audio system, features that are highly sought after by GCC buyers and often missing from base specifications. These enhancements ensure a cabin environment that feels genuinely premium compared to standard entry-level versions.

FX35 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the BMW X5 or Lexus RX, the FX35 leads with its 'Sports Car DNA,' offering a much sharper steering feel and more engaging handling. Its 90-litre fuel tank is one of the largest in its class, providing superior range for long-distance highway drives between emirates. Additionally, the Infiniti's naturally aspirated V6 is often preferred in the used market for its straightforward maintenance and resistance to the intense heat that can affect European turbocharged competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this All-Wheel Drive V6 typically ranges between 13–15 L/100km in GCC stop-start city traffic, improving to approximately 10.5 L/100km on long highway stretches like the E11. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, and with Infiniti's shared parts lineage with Nissan, components are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. This model maintains strong value retention in the GCC due to its reputation for mechanical longevity and the widespread availability of authorized service centers.

Performance & Capability

The 303 hp V6 engine provides effortless highway overtaking and a top speed of approximately 227 km/h, ensuring it never feels underpowered during fast-paced regional commutes. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system automatically adjusts power between the front and rear wheels, offering stability on rain-slicked roads or gravel paths during weekend getaways. With a ground clearance of approximately 187 mm, it easily clears common urban obstacles while maintaining the low center of gravity necessary for its signature sharp handling.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around a 'Double Wave' instrument panel, placing all essential tech within easy reach of the driver. Dual-zone automatic climate control with rear-seat vents ensures the cabin cools down rapidly even in 45 degree Celsius summer heat. Passengers benefit from standard leather seating and a power-sliding sunroof that adds to the airy feel of the interior. For cargo, the 702-litre boot provides ample space for grocery runs or sports gear, expanding significantly with the 60/40 split-folding rear seats.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this trim includes the Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage front bags, side-impact bags, and roof-mounted curtain bags for both rows. Active Head Restraints and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control provide essential stability during emergency maneuvers on highway surfaces. The inclusion of the 360-degree camera system significantly reduces blind spots, making it one of the safer vehicles in its class for navigating busy school runs or high-traffic zones.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who needs a family-sized vehicle, this FX35 Excellence offers a rare combination of sports-sedan agility and luxury SUV presence. Its below-average mileage and high regional specification make it a top-tier opportunity in the current GCC used market.
