Summary

This 2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 Avantgarde Sports offers a balanced combination of executive comfort and sharper handling characteristics that GCC buyers value. As a Japanese-spec import, it typically features a higher level of maintenance and interior preservation compared to average local examples of this age. The white exterior is the most preferred color for resale in the UAE and wider GCC, effectively reflecting the desert sun while maintaining value. The E-Class remains a segment leader for cabin refinement and high-speed stability on long highway stretches like the E11. For the local buyer, this represents a durable V6 executive sedan that avoids the complexity of newer turbocharged systems while offering a premium cabin experience.

This Car vs Other 2011 E350s

With 115,000 km, this vehicle has covered roughly 8,800 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. Japanese-spec cars are often prioritized in the used market for their cleaner interiors and lower exposure to harsh coastal salt spray. The white paint choice is a major asset in this region, providing the strongest resale demand and better thermal management during summer.

AVANTGARDE SPORTS vs Lower Trims

The Avantgarde Sports trim bridges the gap between luxury and performance, featuring a lowered, stiffer suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels that improve cornering compared to the Elegance trim. Inside, it swaps traditional wood for black ash or metallic accents and adds sportier three-spoke steering wheels and blue-tinted heat-insulating glass. These features make it more suited for the driver-focused owner who values highway precision over soft cruising.

E350 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6, the E350 leads in long-distance refinement and tank capacity, with its 80-litre fuel tank providing exceptional range for cross-border GCC travel. The naturally aspirated V6 is widely considered more reliable in high-heat conditions than the early turbocharged units found in some European rivals of this era. Its cabin isolation remains a benchmark for reducing wind and road noise on the highway.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L V6 typically averages around 9.5L/100km, though this may increase in stop-start traffic in cities like Riyadh or Dubai. Mercedes-Benz has one of the most robust authorized and independent service networks across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are always readily available. While European luxury sedans face higher initial depreciation, the W212 generation has stabilized well, retaining roughly 40-45% of its value at this age depending on its condition and spec.

Performance & Capability

The 268 hp naturally aspirated V6 delivers smooth, linear power that is perfect for confident overtaking on high-speed motorways. It achieves a 0–100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds and a restricted top speed of 250 km/h, showcasing its German engineering pedigree. The 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission is tuned for seamless shifts, providing a relaxed experience in heavy city traffic while staying responsive when the throttle is pinned.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five adults, offering dual-zone automatic climate control that is well-regarded for its ability to handle local summer temperatures. The Avantgarde Sports trim includes contoured power-adjustable front seats and high-quality leather upholstery that resists wear well. High-speed insulation is excellent, keeping the cabin quiet and cool even when external temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, including Mercedes-Benz's PRE-SAFE system which prepares the vehicle for an imminent collision, and the Attention Assist monitor to detect driver fatigue on long desert drives. The vehicle is equipped with nine airbags as standard, alongside Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and ABS with Brake Assist. These systems provide a high level of security for family use and high-speed highway commuting.

The bottom line

This Japanese-spec E350 is an ideal choice for the professional seeking a well-maintained executive sedan with lower-than-average mileage and the best possible resale color for the local market.
