In 1989, the automotive luxury segment was shaken to its foundations by a new brand: Lexus. Originally meant to be focused towards the American market like Infiniti (Nissan) or Acura (Honda), Lexus was Toyota’s answer to a market long dominated by its European and American rivals. Lexus offered luxury of the highest standard at affordable prices, with a key focus on reliability and engineering excellence.
Nearly twenty years later, Lexus released its flagship sportscar, the LFA, boasting 552bhp out of a unique, high-revving V10 engine —much like its spiritual ancestor, the Toyota 2000GT, built in collaboration with Yamaha. A lightweight carbon-fibre body and a near-perfect weight distribution further enhanced the driving experience.
This low-mileage Lexus LFA is one of 500 ever built, and one of only 37 delivered in red.
