Lexus LS460 PRESTIGE SWB 39000

Highlights

• Naturally aspirated V8 engine
• 84-litre fuel tank
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This Lexus LS460 is an exceptional find for the UAE market, pairing the prestige of a flagship sedan with remarkably low mileage for a 12-year-old vehicle. Finished in white, the region's most sought-after resale color, this GCC-spec example has covered just 75,000 km—well below the typical average for a luxury cruiser of this age. The Short Wheelbase (SWB) configuration offers a more agile driving experience in city traffic while maintaining the world-class ride quality Lexus is famous for. As a naturally aspirated V8 flagship, it represents a standard of mechanical durability that is increasingly rare in newer turbocharged segments. For a buyer in the Gulf, this represents a blend of low-usage reliability and high-spec executive comfort.

This Car vs Other 2014 LS460s

While many 2014 luxury sedans in the GCC have surpassed the 200,000 km mark due to frequent cross-emirate travel, this LS460 sits at a rare 75,000 km. This translates to just 6,250 km per year, a fraction of the 20,000 km GCC annual average, making it a mechanical standout. The white exterior further secures its value, as it remains the most heat-reflective and high-demand color in the local pre-owned market.

PRESTIGE SWB vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim offers a significant step up in cabin refinement, featuring high-quality leather upholstery and the large 12.3-inch infotainment display as standard. Unlike base-spec equivalents, this trim includes critical GCC comfort features such as ventilated front seats and a premium 10-speaker audio system. The Short Wheelbase (SWB) chassis provides a tighter 10.8-meter turning circle, making it far more practical for urban parking than the LWB variants.

LS460 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to European rivals like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series, the LS460 is widely recognized in the GCC for its superior long-term reliability and lower cooling system maintenance. Its 84-litre fuel tank allows for extended highway range between major cities like Dubai and Riyadh. While the S-Class may offer more complex electronics, the Lexus leads in cabin quietness and parts availability across the entire Gulf region.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus maintains one of the strongest value retention rates in the GCC, typically depreciating just 8-10% annually compared to 15%+ for German luxury brands. The naturally aspirated 4.6L V8 is designed for longevity in extreme heat and is fully compatible with local 98-octane fuel. With authorized service centers like Al-Futtaim widely available, parts and expert maintenance are easily accessible across the UAE and Oman. The real-world fuel consumption reflects its grand touring nature, remaining efficient during steady highway cruises.

Performance & Capability

The 4.6L V8 produces a smooth 382 hp, delivering effortless power for high-speed overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for seamless shifts, ensuring the cabin remains serene even under acceleration. With its Rear Wheel Drive setup, the LS460 offers a classic luxury feel with precise steering that masks its generous dimensions. It is a vehicle built for long-distance comfort, capable of crossing borders with zero mechanical fatigue.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a sanctuary of quiet, featuring acoustic glass to isolate passengers from UAE road noise and extreme summer heat. Dual-zone automatic climate control is specifically engineered to reach optimal temperatures quickly even when the car has been parked in direct sun. The 5-seat layout offers ample legroom and premium materials on every touchpoint, ensuring a first-class experience for both driver and passengers. Ventilated seats are standard, providing essential relief during the peak summer months.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring a suite of airbags including front, side-impact, and driver/passenger knee protection. Standard driver aids for this trim include blind-spot monitoring, which is invaluable for fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic, and front and rear parking sensors to assist in tight city spaces. The vehicle's stability and traction control systems are specifically tuned to maintain composure on sandy or gravel-strewn surfaces common on peripheral roads.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, GCC-spec Lexus flagship that has averaged less than 7,000 km per year, offering the perfect balance of legendary V8 reliability and executive prestige.
