Summary

This 2014 Mercedes Benz CLS350 stands as a uniquely attractive opportunity in the GCC market, offering the prestige of a four-door coupe with remarkably low mileage for its age. Averaging less than 10,000 km per year, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, preserving its mechanical integrity and cabin freshness. The white exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the region, known for its ability to deflect the intense desert heat while maintaining high market value. With its 3.5L V6 engine, it strikes a perfect balance between refined highway cruising and manageable maintenance costs compared to its V8-powered counterparts. This Korean-spec model is particularly well-preserved, benefiting from a high standard of care and a specification list that rivals or exceeds regional standards. For a buyer in the Emirates or wider Gulf, this represents a chance to own a modern classic that looks and feels several years newer than its registration date suggests.

This Car vs Other 2014 CLS350s

When comparing this specific unit to other 2014 models in the market, the primary differentiator is the odometer reading. At just 97,000 km, this vehicle has avoided the heavy wear associated with a decade of high-speed commuting between GCC cities, where many comparable cars have already crossed the 200,000 km mark. The exterior white finish provides a distinct advantage at resale, as it is the most popular choice in the UAE and Saudi Arabia for both aesthetic and thermal reasons. Being a Korean-spec vehicle, it often features a high level of interior technology and trim finishes that were standard in that market but optional elsewhere. The preservation of the leather and dash materials under the intense local sun is exceptional, suggesting the car has been garaged regularly. This combination of low mileage and a high-demand color palette makes it one of the most desirable examples currently available in the regional used car listings.

STD vs Lower Trims

While labeled as the standard trim, the CLS-Class is inherently positioned as a premium offering, meaning the base equipment levels are significantly higher than entry-level E-Class siblings. This particular trim enjoys the robust 306 hp V6 engine which provides a more commanding presence on the road than the smaller turbocharged four-cylinder units found in European entry trims. Inside, you will find premium leather upholstery and the high-resolution COMAND infotainment system which remains intuitive and functional for modern users. The cabin is further enhanced by ambient lighting and a high-quality sound system that provides a refined acoustic environment during long drives. Many buyers find this naturally aspirated 3.5L engine preferred over later turbo models for its linear power delivery and long-term reliability in heat. High-end features like the glass sunroof and multi-zone climate control ensure that even as a 'standard' trim, the luxury experience is uncompromising.

CLS350 vs Segment Rivals

The CLS350 competes directly with the Audi A7 and the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, yet it maintains a distinct lead in terms of brand cachet and resale stability within the GCC. Mercedes Benz has a more extensive service network across the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia compared to its German rivals, ensuring easier access to specialized parts and technicians. The CLS's iconic 'swooping' roofline offers a more dramatic silhouette that remains more recognizable and prestigious in professional environments than its competitors. From a practical standpoint, the 3.5L V6 is widely regarded as one of the most reliable engines in its segment, avoiding the complexity of some BMW cooling systems that can struggle in 50-degree summers. The fuel tank capacity is generous, allowing for long-distance travel across the emirates without frequent refueling stops. Overall, it offers a more balanced trade-off between striking design and day-to-day usability than its peers.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a Mercedes Benz CLS350 in the GCC is surprisingly manageable given its luxury status. The 3.5L V6 is efficient on the highway, achieving approximately 7.5L per 100km, which is ideal for the long stretches between Dubai and Abu Dhabi or Riyadh. In stop-start city traffic, the automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, although fuel consumption will naturally rise in peak summer when the AC is under maximum load. Maintenance intervals are typically every 15,000 km, and with the widespread availability of authorized service centers like Gargash and EMC in the UAE, quality care is never far away. The 2014 model year has already seen its steepest depreciation curve, meaning a buyer today will benefit from a much more stable valuation over the next three years. Historical data in the local market shows the CLS retains roughly 45-50% of its value after five years of ownership, which is superior to many Italian or British luxury alternatives. Parts availability is excellent, both for original equipment and high-quality aftermarket components, keeping long-term repair costs predictable.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is the 3.5L V6 engine producing 306 horsepower, which is delivered exclusively to the rear wheels for a classic sports-sedan feel. This powertrain allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.1 seconds, providing plenty of punch for highway merging and quick overtakes on fast-moving UAE roads. The 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission is legendary for its smooth shifts, ensuring that power delivery is never jarring for passengers. Despite its sleek and low-slung appearance, the CLS350 offers a stable and planted ride at high speeds, even in the crosswinds experienced on open desert highways. The suspension is tuned for a 'wafting' comfort that absorbs road imperfections while maintaining enough stiffness to feel confident in corners. While not a desert-going vehicle, its ground clearance is perfectly suited for city speed bumps and well-maintained regional roads. The braking system is particularly robust, designed to bring the sedan to a halt quickly and safely from high cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the CLS350 is a masterclass in four-passenger luxury, featuring a unique full-length center console that divides the rear into two individual executive seats. This layout provides an exclusive, lounge-like feel for all occupants, making it an ideal choice for business commuting or small family trips. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered to handle extreme temperatures, cooling the cabin down rapidly even after the car has been parked in the sun. Thick glass and high-quality sound insulation keep the roar of highway traffic at a minimum, allowing the premium audio system to be enjoyed at its fullest. The front seats offer extensive electric adjustment, ensuring the perfect driving position for long-distance comfort between cities. White exterior paired with a high-quality interior finish ensures the cabin feels airy and spacious despite the coupe-like roofline. Attention to detail is evident in every stitch, with materials that have clearly been cared for to maintain their soft touch and luster.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the 2014 Mercedes Benz CLS350, which holds a prestigious 5-star safety rating. This vehicle comes standard with a comprehensive suite of airbags and the Pre-Safe system, which prepares the cabin and occupants if a collision is detected as imminent. For GCC drivers, the Attention Assist feature is particularly valuable, monitoring driver fatigue during long, monotonous desert drives and providing alerts to take a break. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Traction Control ensure the rear-wheel-drive setup remains predictable on sandy or rain-slicked surfaces. The inclusion of front and rear parking sensors makes navigating tight parking structures in Dubai or Doha a stress-free experience. Intelligent lighting systems are also present, providing exceptional visibility during nighttime highway travel where unlit stretches of road are common. This trim level ensures that safety is not just a feature, but a fundamental part of the driving experience.

The bottom line

This CLS350 is the perfect choice for a professional looking for a stylish, low-mileage executive cruiser that has been exceptionally well-maintained. Its combination of a high-value color and a reliable V6 powerplant makes it one of the safest and most sophisticated pre-owned purchases in the current market.
