Toyota Hiace GL Year 2.7L GCC Specs-Excellent Condition

Highlights

• 75-litre fuel tank capacity
• Extensive GCC authorised service network
• Strong value retention in the GCC used market

Summary

This 2014 Toyota Hiace GL represents the definitive choice for GCC business logistics, balancing legendary reliability with the higher-spec GL comfort features. While its mileage reflects a productive life on the UAE’s highways, these vehicles are engineered for extreme duty cycles and high-temperature environments. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the local market, ensuring it remains a liquid asset for any fleet or owner-operator. Toyota’s massive parts availability across the region makes this a low-risk workhorse compared to European rivals. For a buyer needing a dependable cargo van that starts every morning in 45°C heat, this manual-transmission petrol model is a proven solution.

This Car vs Other 2014 Hiaces

At 365,000 km, this Hiace has been a consistent worker on the region's long-distance routes, which is common for commercial vehicles in the GCC. The white exterior is a strategic advantage, offering the highest resale demand and better heat reflection during summer months. Its GCC specification ensures the cooling system and air conditioning are factory-built to handle the specific thermal loads of the Middle East.

GL vs Lower Trims

The GL trim upgrades the standard workhorse experience with power windows and central locking, features often omitted on base DX variants. It also includes a more refined cloth interior and a center console storage box, providing the driver with improved ergonomics for long shifts. These small upgrades significantly improve driver comfort and lead to better value retention compared to the entry-level panel vans.

Hiace vs Segment Rivals

The Hiace leads rivals like the Nissan Urvan and Ford Transit primarily through its unmatched reliability and the sheer density of its service network in every GCC country. Its 75-litre fuel tank offers a significant range advantage for cross-emirate transport compared to smaller-tank competitors. While rivals may offer more modern cabin tech, the Hiace’s mechanical simplicity ensures lower downtime and higher residual value.

Running Costs & Resale

Expect a real-world fuel consumption of approximately 11 to 13 L/100km, depending on cargo load and stop-start city traffic. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, with a vast network of authorized centers and independent workshops across the UAE and Saudi Arabia capable of performing rapid maintenance. The Hiace holds its value better than any other van in the segment, typically retaining 70-75% of its price after three years of use.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5-litre petrol engine is tuned for durability rather than speed, providing 100 hp and steady torque for hauling cargo across flat highway terrain. The manual transmission offers the driver total control over power delivery, which is essential when the van is fully loaded. With a cargo volume of approximately 6.0 cubic meters, it remains one of the most efficient uses of footprint for urban deliveries in the UAE.

Comfort & Cabin

This two-seat cargo configuration prioritizes utility, featuring a flat-floor load area that is easy to wash and maintain. The air conditioning system is a high-output unit specifically engineered for the GCC, ensuring the cabin stays cool even when temperatures exceed 45°C. Front power windows and a simple, durable cloth trim make the cabin a practical office for the professional driver.

Safety

Standard safety features on this GL trim include dual front airbags and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to maintain steering control during emergency stops on sandy or wet surfaces. The vehicle also features a reinforced body structure designed to protect occupants in commercial environments. These core safety systems provide a reliable baseline for fleet operations across the region.

The bottom line

This Hiace GL is the ideal acquisition for a UAE business looking for a durable, high-resale workhorse that is supported by the region's strongest service infrastructure.
