Aston Martin Vanquish STANDARD

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 4.0 seconds
• Naturally aspirated 6.0L V12
• Hand-built engine

Summary

This 2015 Vanquish occupies a sweet spot in the used GCC market, benefiting from the significant mechanical updates introduced for this specific model year, most notably the eight-speed Touchtronic III transmission. With mileage under 46,000 km, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000 km annual average for the region, preserving its collectibility. The Burgundy exterior is a rare and sophisticated alternative to the common grayscale palette, holding its appeal well among discerning enthusiasts. As a naturally aspirated V12 flagship, it offers an visceral engine character that modern turbocharged successors struggle to replicate. For the GCC buyer, the primary consideration is the specialized maintenance required, though the presence of authorized service centers across the UAE makes long-term ownership highly manageable.

This Car vs Other 2015 Vanquishs

At just over 45,800 km, this vehicle presents a low-mileage advantage compared to average GCC examples of the same age, which often exceed 150,000 km due to frequent inter-emirate highway travel. The Burgundy paintwork provides a distinctive presence that remains desirable for resale, offering a premium aesthetic that sets it apart from standard fleet colors. Its mechanical condition is a key highlight, as 2015 was the first year to receive the improved cooling and gearbox software essential for the local climate.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the flagship model of its era, even the standard trim is lavishly equipped, featuring full carbon-fiber body panels that were previously reserved for limited editions. It includes the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound audio system and ventilated seats as standard, both of which are high-priority features for the heat and luxury expectations of GCC drivers. The 2015 update further distinguishes this trim with a 20 hp boost over the 2014 model and the superior eight-speed gearbox.

Vanquish vs Segment Rivals

The Vanquish leads rivals like the Bentley Continental GT in pure engine soul, utilizing a hand-assembled naturally aspirated V12 versus the Bentley's more insulated W12. While a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta focuses on raw track performance, the Aston Martin offers a 78-liter fuel tank and superior trunk space, making it better suited for cross-border grand touring from Dubai to Muscat. Its timeless design avoids the aggressive aging patterns of more trend-focused Italian competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Expect a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 14.8 L/100km, though stop-start traffic in cities like Riyadh or Dubai will see this rise significantly. Service intervals are recommended every 16,000 km or 12 months, with authorized service networks well-established in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While European exotics face higher initial depreciation, the Vanquish maintains a strong floor value in the GCC due to its status as one of the final naturally aspirated V12s.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this coupe is a 573 hp V12 that enables a top speed of 323 km/h, ensuring effortless high-speed cruising on the UAE's E11 highway. The eight-speed automatic transmission was a game-changer for this model year, providing 130-millisecond shifts that are both smoother in city traffic and more responsive during spirited drives. Carbon ceramic brakes are standard, providing fade-free stopping power essential for high-performance driving in extreme summer temperatures.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2+2 seating layout is wrapped in Bridge of Weir leather, providing a cabin that feels hand-crafted rather than mass-produced. The air conditioning system is robust, specifically tuned to handle 45°C+ temperatures while maintaining the quiet refinement expected of a grand tourer. Infotainment is handled via the glass-buttoned center stack, and the ventilated seats provide essential cooling for the driver and front passenger during the long summer months.

Safety

This Vanquish is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including dynamic stability control, emergency brake assist, and a multi-stage traction control system tuned for high-speed stability. Positive-engagement paddle shifters ensure the driver remains in total control during overtakes, while the carbon-fiber structure provides an exceptionally rigid and safe safety cell. Front and rear parking sensors and a rearview camera are standard, aiding visibility in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, mechanically updated V12 flagship in a standout color that bridges the gap between modern tech and classic Aston Martin soul.
