GMC Yukon SLE

Highlights

• 355 hp from a 5.3L V8 engine
• 2,858 kg braked towing capacity
• Eight seats with all-wheel drive

Summary

This GCC-spec Yukon SLE represents a durable choice for families seeking a full-sized American SUV with a proven 5.3-liter V8 powertrain. At 11 years old, its mileage sits slightly below the typical high-distance use common in the region, indicating it has been driven conservatively for a vehicle of this type. The silver exterior is a top performer for resale in the UAE market and handles the intense desert sun better than darker shades. While the SLE is the entry point for the Yukon range, it provides all the essential towing and seating capacity that makes this model a staple on GCC highways. This specific listing offers a high-utility AWD configuration that is equally suited for weekend camping trips or daily school runs.

This Car vs Other 2015 Yukons

With 164,000 km, this vehicle averages roughly 14,900 km per year, which is significantly lower than the 20,000 to 25,000 km annual benchmark typically seen for large SUVs in the GCC. The silver paintwork is one of the most practical choices for the region, offering excellent heat reflection and maintaining high resale appeal. Buyers will find this mileage-to-age ratio advantageous for long-term mechanical reliability.

SLE vs Lower Trims

The SLE serves as the foundation of the Yukon lineup, but still includes standard features like the 8-inch IntelliLink touchscreen and a rearview camera that were advanced for the 2015 model year. It lacks the leather upholstery and magnetic ride control of the SLT or Denali, but offers a more straightforward, easier-to-maintain cabin that many long-term owners prefer. This trim focuses on core utility, providing the same V8 power and 8-passenger capacity as higher variants without the complexity of air suspension.

Yukon vs Segment Rivals

The Yukon leads its primary rivals, the Toyota Land Cruiser and Nissan Patrol, in terms of sheer highway comfort and low-end torque for overtaking. While the Japanese competitors are often favored for extreme sand duning, the Yukon offers a more car-like ride and superior cargo flexibility for large families. Its 98-liter fuel tank ensures fewer stops during cross-border drives between Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.3L V8 typically ranges between 12 and 15 L/100km depending on city traffic vs highway cruising. GMC enjoys an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, making parts readily available and affordable. The Yukon is a staple in the GCC used market, meaning it retains value significantly better than European SUVs of a similar age, especially in GCC specification.

Performance & Capability

The EcoTec3 V8 delivers a robust 355 hp, allowing for confident highway merging even when fully loaded with eight passengers. This AWD model is equipped to handle gravel tracks and wet wadi crossings with ease, while the 2,858 kg towing capacity makes it ideal for hauling boat trailers or jet skis. The six-speed automatic transmission is geared for smooth long-distance cruising, maintaining low RPMs at highway speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is configured with three rows to accommodate eight passengers comfortably, featuring tri-zone automatic climate control specifically designed for GCC summers. High-quality insulation and acoustic glass keep the interior remarkably quiet, shielding passengers from road noise and desert heat. The SLE’s cloth seating is particularly practical in the local climate, as it stays cooler than leather when parked in direct sunlight.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the 2015 Yukon, featuring a standard suite of multiple airbags and StabiliTrak electronic stability control. Useful for GCC highway driving, it includes trailer sway control and a rearview camera to assist with tight parking in city malls. The body-on-frame construction provides a solid safety cell, while the AWD system adds an extra layer of traction during occasional heavy rain or on loose surfaces.

The bottom line

For the buyer who needs a reliable 8-seater with a lower-than-average odometer reading for its age, this silver Yukon SLE is a sensible, high-value choice in the current GCC market.
