• 220 mm ground clearance
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2015 Toyota Fortuner EXR is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers, combining remarkably low mileage for its age with a silver exterior that holds premium resale value in the local market. As one of the most trusted family workhorses in the region, this specific unit has covered less than 6,000 km per year, far below the typical 20,000 km annual average for SUVs in the UAE. Its body-on-frame construction and 2.7L engine are engineered specifically for long-term durability in extreme heat. For a buyer seeking a capable seven-seater that transitions seamlessly from city school runs to weekend desert escapes, this is a highly reliable and value-stable choice. The availability of parts and service across all seven emirates ensures ownership remains completely stress-free.

This Car vs Other 2015 Fortuners

With only 57,000 km on the odometer, this Fortuner has covered significantly less distance than the 180,000–220,000 km typical for a 2015 model in the GCC. The silver exterior is a strategic choice for this region, as it is among the top three colors for heat reflection and maintains the strongest resale demand in the UAE used market.

EXR vs Lower Trims

As the core trim for the 2.7L range, the EXR provides essential GCC comforts over base commercial variants, including a dedicated rear air conditioning system with vents for all three rows. It features 17-inch alloy wheels and integrated side steps, which are vital for family accessibility and better handling on rugged terrain compared to the entry-level steel-wheel versions.

Fortuner vs Segment Rivals

The Fortuner leads rivals like the Mitsubishi Montero Sport and Nissan Xterra in pure value retention and serviceability across the GCC. Its 80-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long-distance drives between cities like Dubai and Muscat, while its Hilux-derived chassis offers genuine off-road durability that monocoque competitors cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.7L engine typically averages between 11.5 and 12.5 L/100km in mixed GCC driving. Maintenance is exceptionally affordable, with a vast network of authorized Toyota service centers available in every major city across the UAE and neighboring GCC states. The Fortuner is renowned for having one of the lowest annual depreciation rates in the region, often losing just 7-10% of its value per year.

Performance & Capability

The 158 hp 2.7L engine is paired with a full-time all-wheel-drive system and a dedicated low-range transfer case, allowing it to navigate soft sand and steep dunes with ease. A 220 mm ground clearance ensures you can clear most obstacles during weekend desert excursions or rural drives. On the highway, the automatic transmission is tuned for steady, reliable cruising and effortless overtaking in urban traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

This seven-seater features a highly flexible cabin where the third-row seats can be folded to the sides to accommodate large cargo, providing up to 620 litres of space. The air conditioning system is specifically designed for the 50°C summer peaks, featuring powerful compressors and independent rear controls. Fabric seating is standard in this trim, which is preferred by many local owners for remaining cooler to the touch after being parked in direct sunlight.

Safety

Safety is managed through a comprehensive suite of active and passive systems, including dual front airbags and a dedicated driver's knee airbag. Standard equipment includes Anti-lock Braking (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and ISOFIX child seat anchors. These systems are particularly effective on fast-moving GCC highways and during variable-traction driving on sand or gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who prioritizes mechanical reliability and high resale value, this low-mileage 2015 Fortuner is the perfect entry into 4x4 ownership without the premium price tag of a newer model.
