The extra power extracted from the 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine makes even the likes of the last generation Porsche Cayman GTS running in fear to the RS3 purely on under-bonnet potency!
The RS3’s five-cylinder turbo charged engine returns impressive numbers – 362bhp from 5550-6800rpm and 343lb ft from 1625-5550rpm – and in general the car’s performance is exceptional! The 7-speed S-tronic twin-clutch gearbox swaps cogs cleanly and quickly in auto mode and in the manual setting using the paddle shifters it shifts rapidly.
