Summary

This 2016 BMW X6 35i Exclusive offers a compelling balance of sport-coupe aesthetics and SUV utility with a mileage of 72,300 km, which is exceptionally low for a 10-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The Exclusive trim enhances the cabin with premium materials, making it a sophisticated choice for navigating both city skylines and inter-emirate highways. Its Grey exterior is a highly desirable and practical resale color in the region, effectively masking desert dust while maintaining a professional look. For the GCC buyer, the X6 stands out for its composed high-speed stability on the E11 and its iconic silhouette that remains a status symbol in the local market. This specific listing is a rare find for those prioritizing low mechanical wear in a premium German crossover.

This Car vs Other 2016 X6s

At 72,300 km, this vehicle has covered significantly less ground than the typical 200,000 km+ expected for a 10-year-old car in the GCC. This low usage suggests better preservation of the cooling system and interior plastics, which are often stressed by the local climate. The Grey finish is a strong resale advantage in the UAE and Saudi markets, offering better value retention than bolder, niche colors.

35i EXCLUSIVE vs Lower Trims

The Exclusive trim elevates the X6 over the base 35i with the inclusion of 20-inch light alloy wheels and high-grade Dakota leather upholstery. It typically adds the Surround View 360° camera system, which is essential for maneuvering this wide-bodied SUV into tight mall parking spaces. Luxury is further enhanced by Fine Oak wood interior trim and soft-close doors, features often missing from the standard sDrive or xDrive entry models.

X6 vs Segment Rivals

While cross-shopped with the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and the Porsche Cayenne, the X6 leads with its unique 'Sports Activity Coupe' heritage and driver-centric cockpit. It offers a larger 85-litre fuel tank than many competitors, providing a superior cruising range for long-distance drives between Dubai and Riyadh. The iDrive system remains one of the most intuitive interfaces for managing climate and navigation under the midday sun.

Running Costs & Resale

The N55 3.0L engine is well-regarded in the GCC for its reliability compared to larger V8 alternatives, with a combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.1 L/100km. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 to 12,000 km, and BMW's extensive authorized network across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait ensures parts are always accessible. Expect a depreciation rate of roughly 12-15% annually, which is standard for premium European SUVs in this segment.

Performance & Capability

The 300 hp turbocharged inline-six provides effortless highway overtaking, reaching 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds. Equipped with xDrive all-wheel drive, it maintains excellent traction on rain-slicked city asphalt or gravel-strewn wadi roads. The 8-speed Steptronic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, ensuring a refined experience during heavy stop-start traffic in downtown districts.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a 5-seat sanctuary featuring dual-zone climate control with powerful cooling capacity specifically calibrated for high ambient temperatures. Ambient lighting and an electric glass sunroof create an airy feel, while the 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats offer versatility for family shopping trips. High levels of sound insulation keep the interior quiet, shielding passengers from road noise and the intense desert heat.

Safety

Standard safety includes a comprehensive suite of front, side, and curtain airbags, along with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) to manage sand or gravel surfaces. This trim features Park Distance Control and a high-resolution Rear View Camera to assist with the X6's unique rear visibility. Adaptive Xenon or LED headlights are often present on this spec, providing superior illumination for night drives on unlit desert highways.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a professional or small family seeking a low-mileage, GCC-spec BMW that balances prestige with proven reliability. Its exceptional condition and high-resale color make it one of the most sensible luxury purchases currently available in the regional used market.
