Summary

This Porsche 911 GT3RS is a remarkable find in the GCC market, combining a relatively low mileage for its 10-year age with a highly desirable regional specification. Finished in Grey, a color that consistently performs well for resale in the UAE and wider region, this car represents the height of naturally aspirated performance from the 991.1 generation. It stands out from modern rivals by offering an raw, mechanical connection that is becoming increasingly rare in the era of turbocharging. For a buyer in the GCC, this listing provides a well-preserved example of a modern icon that is as comfortable on the Yas Marina Circuit as it is on the highway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

This Car vs Other 2016 911s

With just 28,395 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged less than 3,000 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the typical 20,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. While many 911s of this vintage have been used as daily drivers across the Emirates, this GT3RS appears to have been treated as a weekend enthusiast car. The Grey exterior is a sophisticated choice that maintains strong demand in the local pre-owned market, often holding its value better than more flamboyant launch colors.

GT3RS vs Lower Trims

The GT3RS sits at the top of the naturally aspirated 911 hierarchy, offering significant upgrades over the standard GT3 that GCC buyers value. This includes a wider body sourced from the 911 Turbo, aggressive aerodynamic venting on the front fenders, and a magnesium roof to lower the center of gravity. Inside, you receive carbon-fiber reinforced plastic seats and a bolt-in roll cage as standard, emphasizing its motorsport heritage compared to the more road-biased Carrera models.

911 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the McLaren 675LT or the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4, the 911 GT3RS leads in terms of mechanical reliability and the strength of the local service network. Its naturally aspirated engine provides a linear power delivery and a 8,800 rpm redline that turbocharged competitors cannot match. Additionally, the Porsche's dual-clutch PDK transmission is widely regarded as the most robust and responsive in this segment for high-temperature GCC driving.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption reflects its high-performance nature, averaging roughly 12.7 L/100km on the highway, though this increases significantly in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically required every 10,000 km or annually, with Porsche's authorized service centers being widely available across all major GCC cities. As a GCC-spec GT3RS, this car benefits from better value retention than imported models, with historical data showing these specialized GT models depreciate significantly slower than standard luxury coupes.

Performance & Capability

The 493 hp flat-six engine allows for a blistering 0-100 km/h time of 3.3 seconds, ensuring it remains competitive with modern supercars. The inclusion of rear-axle steering provides incredible agility during high-speed cornering and stability during rapid lane changes on wide GCC highways. The massive fixed rear wing is not just for show; it produces substantial downforce, making the car feel 'glued' to the road during performance driving sessions at the Dubai Autodrome.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cabin is focused entirely on the driver, featuring Alcantara trim and carbon fiber accents that withstand the intense GCC summer heat better than traditional plastics. While the suspension is track-tuned and firm, the dual-zone climate control system is engineered to handle extreme desert temperatures, ensuring the cabin remains cool even in midday sun. The acoustic insulation is minimized to let the engine note dominate, providing an immersive experience for the true enthusiast.

Safety

This GT3RS comes equipped with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) specifically tuned for track use, providing a safety net that is helpful on sand-dusted road surfaces. The standard high-performance braking system offers exceptional stopping power and fade resistance, crucial for the high-speed environments of the region. Additionally, the integrated roll cage provides enhanced structural rigidity and occupant protection, a feature rarely found in its more road-oriented segment rivals.

The bottom line

For the collector or track enthusiast, this low-mileage GCC-spec GT3RS offers a rare opportunity to own a perfectly maintained 991.1 icon in a timeless color way.
