Summary

This 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S is the definitive 'everyday supercar' for the GCC, offering a rare balance of track-bred performance and air-conditioned reliability. Finished in a striking green, it stands out in a market dominated by neutral tones, which often translates to higher desirability among local enthusiasts seeking unique specs. With 40,886 km over four years, this car has been driven as intended—regular exercise is a major plus in this climate to prevent the seals and electronics of high-performance engines from drying out. While rivals often struggle with the Gulf's 45°C summers, the Turbo S is engineered for consistent thermal management even in stop-start traffic. It remains the gold standard for drivers who want 650 horsepower without sacrificing the ability to cross the Emirates in total comfort.

This Car vs Other 2022 911s

At 40,886 km, this car’s mileage is exactly in line with typical GCC annual use for a daily-driven performance car, which averages 10,000–12,000 km per year. While many supercars are hidden in garages, this 911 has been regularly circulated, ensuring the mechanical systems remain in peak operating condition. The green exterior is a signature modern Porsche color that increasingly commands a niche premium in the used market over high-volume white or silver examples.

TURBO S vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the Turbo S over the standard Turbo or GTS models adds the critical performance hardware as standard, most notably the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus. It also features a wider body and an upgraded 3.8-litre engine variant that delivers a significant 70 hp boost over the non-S Turbo. GCC buyers specifically seek out the S for its standard inclusion of the Sport Chrono package and superior resale value retention in the region.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The Turbo S consistently outpaces the Ferrari F8 and Lamborghini Huracán in daily usability, offering a more refined cabin and better visibility for navigating tight Dubai or Riyadh streets. Its all-wheel-drive system provides a level of high-speed stability on the E11 highway that RWD-only competitors can rarely match in dusty or unpredictable road conditions. Furthermore, the Porsche dealer network in the GCC is notably more robust, ensuring easier access to specialized technicians and parts.

Running Costs & Resale

The 911 Turbo S historically holds its value better than almost any other European exotic in the GCC, typically depreciating only 10–12% annually compared to 15–20% for its Italian rivals. Service intervals are recommended every 15,000 km or annually, though local experts suggest oil changes every 10,000 km due to extreme heat. With authorized Porsche Centers available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, long-term ownership is supported by the region's strongest luxury service infrastructure.

Performance & Capability

The headline is a 2.7-second sprint to 100 km/h, a figure that remains among the fastest for any production car globally. The active aerodynamics and rear-axle steering make this 911 feel smaller and more agile than its footprint suggests, especially when navigating the winding roads of Jebel Jais. Unlike high-strung exotics, the Turbo S delivers its 800 Nm of torque predictably, making it just as capable during a morning commute as it is on a weekend track session at the Dubai Autodrome.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring ventilated sport seats that are a necessity for the GCC summer and a high-fidelity sound system that insulates passengers from road noise. Dual-zone climate control is standard and renowned for its cooling speed, a critical factor for comfort after a car has been parked in the sun. The 2+2 layout offers genuine practical space for extra bags or smaller passengers, making it the only 650-hp coupe that functions effectively as a primary vehicle.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of advanced systems including Porsche Stability Management (PSM), which is specially tuned to handle the massive torque output on varying surfaces. The standard LED Matrix headlights provide exceptional visibility for night-time desert highway driving, while the robust braking system provides fade-free performance even under heavy loads. Standard front and rear parking sensors with a high-definition camera system ensure the wide rear hips are easy to manage in urban environments.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who demands a 200+ mph supercar that can be serviced anywhere and driven every day, this well-maintained, green 911 Turbo S is the most logical and thrilling choice on the market today.
