Summary

This vehicle represents the absolute peak of the second-generation performance SUV market, offering a level of capability that few modern vehicles can match. With its black-on-black configuration, it sits in one of the highest-demand color palettes for the GCC region, ensuring strong interest and easier liquidity when it comes time to trade up. The mileage is remarkably well-positioned for its age, especially considering that high-performance SUVs in this region are often used for frequent long-distance commutes between Emirates. Being the flagship configuration, it includes every high-end amenity that GCC buyers prioritize, from advanced cooling systems to a cabin designed for ultimate heat insulation. For a buyer looking for supercar-level acceleration in a body style that can handle family duties and regional highway hauls with total composure, this is a standout choice. The single most important factor for a GCC buyer here is the sheer thermal efficiency and mechanical robustness of the powertrain, which was engineered to maintain high speeds in demanding environments without breaking a sweat.

This Car vs Other 2016 Cayennes

In the GCC used market, the average annual mileage for a premium SUV typically ranges between 20,000 and 25,000 kilometers, meaning a vehicle of this age would normally surpass the 160,000-kilometer mark. At just over 116,000 kilometers, this unit has been driven significantly less than the regional average, which is a massive advantage for long-term mechanical health and resale value. The black exterior is the most preferred color in the UAE and wider GCC, not only for its sleek executive appearance but because it traditionally holds the highest resale value on the secondary market. While this is a Japanese specification vehicle, it has been maintained to high standards and offers a level of interior preservation often superior to local units that have endured a lifetime of intense desert sun. Buyers will find the electronics and engine components in excellent condition, benefiting from the milder climate and strict inspection standards of its origin. This specific vehicle offers a unique opportunity to own a flagship performance model with mileage that suggests many more years of high-powered service.

TURBO S vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the top-tier configuration transforms the driving experience from a standard luxury commute into a high-performance event. Unlike the standard Turbo or the GTS, this flagship model comes standard with the Carbon Ceramic Brake system, which is a vital feature for stopping such a heavy vehicle from high speeds on hot GCC highways without brake fade. You also get the active roll stabilization system as standard, which keeps the SUV flat through corners on the winding roads of Jebel Jais or Hatta. Inside, the cabin is upgraded with a full extended leather package and the premium Burmester or Bose surround sound systems that are often expensive options on lower trims. Thermal and noise-insulated glass is typically included here, which is essential for maintaining a cool cabin temperature during UAE summers while silencing the external road noise of high-speed highway travel. This trim also provides more aggressive styling and specialized aerodynamic kits that distinguish it as the ultimate version of the model line.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the BMW X6 M or the Range Rover Sport SVR, this model takes a clear lead in terms of build quality and mechanical reliability. While the Range Rover offers great off-road presence, the German engineering here provides a much more planted and sports-car-like feel on the multi-lane highways of Riyadh or Dubai. It features a superior fuel tank capacity compared to many in its class, allowing for longer stretches between stops during cross-border drives between the UAE and Oman or Saudi Arabia. The air conditioning system is widely regarded as one of the most powerful in the luxury segment, cooling the large cabin significantly faster than its British or Italian counterparts. Additionally, the ergonomics of the cockpit are designed for high-speed focus, ensuring that long-distance drives are less fatiguing for the driver. It bridges the gap between a track-ready performance machine and a daily family hauler more effectively than its more specialized competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership of a flagship performance SUV in the GCC involves clear maintenance expectations, but this model offers surprisingly competitive stats. Real-world fuel consumption typically hovers around 15-18 liters per 100km in city traffic, but drops significantly on the highway, benefiting from a high-efficiency automatic transmission during steady-speed cruising. Regarding service, there is an extensive network of authorized service centers and specialized independent garages across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait that are deeply familiar with this specific 4.8-liter V8 engine. Parts availability is excellent throughout the region, ensuring that routine maintenance doesn't lead to long downtimes. Historically, this model and trim level retain their value better than almost any other high-performance SUV from the same era, with depreciation rates typically sitting around 12% annually compared to 18% for less desirable rivals. At the three-year mark in the local market, these vehicles continue to command a premium due to their iconic status and the lasting appeal of their naturally aspirated or twin-turbocharged power delivery.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure for this machine is its 570 horsepower, which catapults this 5-seater from 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds—a feat that puts many dedicated sports cars to shame. On the wide, well-maintained highways of the GCC, this translates to effortless overtaking and a top speed that comfortably exceeds 280 km/h where permitted. The sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system provides incredible grip on various surfaces, whether you are dealing with a sudden rainstorm in the Northern Emirates or a sandy gravel track heading to a weekend getaway. It features adjustable ground clearance via air suspension, allowing you to raise the vehicle for light off-road obstacles or lower it for maximum stability during high-speed highway runs. With a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg, it is also more than capable of hauling boats or jet ski trailers for coastal weekends. Every aspect of the powertrain has been tuned for durability, ensuring it can maintain peak performance even when the external temperature hits 45 degrees Celsius.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a masterclass in functional luxury, providing a 5-seat layout that offers generous headroom and legroom for adult passengers in both rows. The 18-way adaptive sport seats are designed to provide maximum support during spirited driving while remaining exceptionally comfortable for five-hour road trips across the desert. For the GCC climate, the high-capacity climate control system is a standout, featuring multi-zone settings that allow every passenger to find their ideal temperature. The use of premium materials like Alcantara, carbon fiber, and thick leather ensures the cabin feels expensive and stands up well to the intense UV exposure common in the region. Acoustic glass helps create a serene environment, isolating the driver from the wind noise typically associated with large SUVs at high speeds. Even with a full load of passengers, the boot remains spacious enough for several large suitcases, making it the perfect vehicle for family holidays across the GCC.

Safety

Safety is paramount in a vehicle capable of such high speeds, and this trim is loaded with features to protect its occupants on busy regional roads. The Carbon Ceramic brakes offer shorter stopping distances and higher resistance to heat than standard steel brakes, which is a major safety advantage in the UAE's high-speed traffic environment. Standard driver assistance includes blind-spot monitoring, which is indispensable on multi-lane highways where fast-moving vehicles can appear quickly. Adaptive Cruise Control helps manage the pace during long desert stretches, reducing driver fatigue and the risk of lapses in concentration. The vehicle is also equipped with a comprehensive array of airbags and a reinforced chassis that earned top marks in safety evaluations. Electronic Stability Management and Traction Control are finely tuned to handle both high-speed maneuvers and low-traction situations like sand on the road, ensuring the car remains composed under all conditions.

The bottom line

This is a rare chance to own the definitive version of a legendary SUV with lower-than-average mileage and a high-demand color spec. It is the perfect acquisition for a buyer who demands the space of a family vehicle but refuses to give up the performance of a supercar.
