Summary

This Lexus RC 350 F Sport Platinum is a sharp choice for those seeking the reliability of a Japanese V6 in a striking coupe body style. While the mileage reflects its life as a long-distance highway commuter, the silver exterior remains one of the most resilient and sought-after colors for resale in the GCC. As a Platinum trim, it delivers a high-tier cabin experience that rivals European competitors without their associated maintenance complexity. The naturally aspirated 3.5-liter engine is renowned for its longevity, making this a robust option for daily driving across the Emirates. For the buyer who values Lexus refinement and bold F Sport aesthetics, this listing offers a significant specification at an accessible entry point.

This Car vs Other 2017 RC 350s

At 223,000 km, this vehicle has covered more distance than the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, yet it benefits from the proven mechanical durability of the Lexus V6 platform. The silver finish is a strategic advantage in the local market, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining a higher resale value than bolder, less common colors. As an American spec model, it offers a high equipment level often missing on entry-level regional cars, though buyers should ensure local navigation updates are applied.

F SPORT PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The F SPORT PLATINUM trim is a significant step up from the base RC 300, featuring the more powerful 306 hp engine and a sophisticated Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) that adjusts to road conditions in real-time. Inside, it adds the iconic LFA-inspired sliding digital gauge cluster and high-bolster sport seats that are both heated and ventilated—a critical feature for the GCC summer. You also get the upgraded 19-inch F Sport wheels and the distinctive mesh spindle grille that gives the car its aggressive road presence.

RC 350 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW 4 Series or Audi A5, the RC 350 leads with its reputation for long-term reliability and lower depreciation rates in the Middle East. While German rivals often rely on turbocharged four-cylinders, the Lexus provides a smoother, naturally aspirated V6 delivery that handles high-temperature highway runs with less stress on the cooling system. Its cabin isolation is specifically tuned for quiet cruising, making it a more relaxed grand tourer for trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L V6 typically averages around 10.8 L/100km, performing efficiently during steady highway cruises. Lexus maintains one of the strongest service networks in the GCC, with authorized centers and parts readily available from Al-Futtaim in the UAE to Ebrahim K. Kanoo in Bahrain. Historically, the RC 350 retains roughly 70-74% of its value after five years, significantly outperforming its European peers. Even with higher mileage, the demand for well-maintained Lexus coupes remains steady among local enthusiasts.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-liter V6 delivers a refined 306 hp, capable of launching the coupe from 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission that offers sharp, crisp shifts in Sport+ mode. The F Sport-tuned suspension and lateral performance dampers provide excellent stability at high highway speeds, ensuring the car feels planted even during windy desert crossings. Multiple drive modes, including Eco and Sport+, allow the driver to prioritize fuel efficiency or throttle response depending on the commute.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a 4-seat configuration focused on front-row luxury, featuring perforated leather upholstery and the Mark Levinson surround-sound system. The dual-zone climate control is engineered for extreme heat, quickly cooling the cabin even after hours in the sun. Acoustic glass helps keep the interior whisper-quiet at 120 km/h, isolating passengers from road and wind noise. The driver-centric cockpit features memory settings for the seat and steering wheel, ensuring a perfect ergonomic setup for every journey.

Safety

This trim includes the Lexus Safety System+, which provides a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and high-speed dynamic radar cruise control—perfect for long stretches of Sheikh Zayed Road. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert come standard, providing vital assistance in fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The vehicle is also equipped with eight airbags and a reinforced body structure that has earned high marks in global safety testing.

The bottom line

This RC 350 F Sport Platinum is the ideal match for a buyer who wants a reliable, high-spec luxury coupe that stands out on the road without the high running costs of a V8.
