Summary

This 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S represents the final evolution of a legendary era, being the last of the naturally aspirated V12 flagship coupes from Gaydon. With only 29 km on the odometer, this is a museum-grade example that offers a virtually new ownership experience for a discontinued icon. The S trim brings a sharper aerodynamic package and a significant power bump over the standard model, making it a highly sought-after collector's piece in the GCC market. Finished in a clean white that holds strong resale value locally, it handles the region's long highways with unparalleled grand touring refinement. For a buyer in the Middle East, this is an opportunity to own a hand-assembled masterpiece with a engine note that modern turbocharged rivals simply cannot replicate.

This Car vs Other 2018 Vanquish Ss

With just 29 km, this vehicle sits in a different category than almost any other 2018 Vanquish S in the GCC. While typical six-year-old sports cars in the region may have covered 40,000 km or more through weekend drives and highway commutes, this car is essentially in delivery condition. Its white exterior is the most preferred color for resale in the local market, offering better heat reflection and sustained demand compared to more niche metallic shades.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim is a significant upgrade over the standard Vanquish, adding a new aerodynamic package with exposed carbon fiber splitters and diffusers that enhance stability at high speeds. It features an uprated version of the AM29 V12 engine, delivering 595 hp—an increase that transforms the car's mid-range urgency. Additionally, the S includes a revised suspension setup and the faster-shifting Touchtronic III 8-speed transmission, providing a more focused driving experience without sacrificing the plush ride quality expected of a flagship GT.

Vanquish S vs Segment Rivals

The Vanquish S competes with the Ferrari F12berlinetta and the Bentley Continental GT Speed, standing out through its use of a naturally aspirated V12 while others moved toward turbocharging. Its 80-liter fuel tank is specifically beneficial for long-distance GCC journeys, such as the drive between Dubai and Riyadh, offering greater touring range than many high-strung supercars. Unlike its rivals, the Aston Martin provides a unique blend of carbon fiber body construction and old-world hand-stitched interior luxury that feels more bespoke than mass-produced competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 6.0L V12 averages approximately 15.0 L/100km combined, with city driving in stop-start traffic reaching higher figures. Maintenance should be performed every 12 months or 16,000 km at authorized service centers, which are well-established in major GCC hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. As the 'swan song' for the naturally aspirated V12, the Vanquish S has shown excellent value retention in the UAE market, often outperforming newer turbocharged models among collectors who prize mechanical purity.

Performance & Capability

Launching from 0–100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, the Vanquish S delivers relentless power that is perfectly suited for the UAE's high-speed highway network. The 595 hp V12 engine provides a linear power delivery and a top speed of 324 km/h, ensuring it remains competitive with modern performance cars. Three-stage adaptive damping allows the driver to switch from a comfortable 'Normal' mode for daily city use to a 'Track' mode that sharpens the chassis for visits to the Dubai Autodrome or Yas Marina Circuit.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is a masterpiece of Bridge of Weir leather and satin carbon fiber, designed for long-distance comfort in the GCC summer. The high-performance air conditioning system is specifically engineered to handle extreme temperatures, while the ventilated seats provide essential cooling during the hotter months. An optional 1,000-watt Bang & Olufsen BeoSound system with 13 speakers ensures a premium acoustic experience that remains clear even at high cruising speeds.

Safety

Standard safety features include high-performance carbon ceramic brakes that offer immense stopping power and fade resistance, a critical asset for high-speed driving in the region. The car is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system and advanced stability and traction controls that can be tailored to driving conditions. For city maneuvers, the front and rear parking sensors and a clear reversing camera provide necessary assistance in tight spaces.

The bottom line

For the collector or enthusiast, this 29-km GCC-spec Vanquish S is a rare chance to secure a final-edition, naturally aspirated V12 flagship in showroom condition before it becomes a permanent museum piece.
