Summary

The 2024 Aston Martin DB12 represents a significant leap forward in the grand tourer segment, effectively launching the world's first 'Super Tourer' category. This specific example is a rare find in the GCC market, boasting exceptionally low mileage that suggests it has barely completed its break-in period since leaving the factory. While many high-performance coupes struggle with the intense heat of the region, this model features a heavily revised cooling system designed to maintain peak performance during long drives across the Emirates. Its distinctive exterior color is a highly desirable signature shade for the brand, which historically supports stronger resale values among collectors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Choosing this over its rivals means securing a vehicle that balances raw supercar performance with the refinement required for daily executive commuting. For a buyer looking to skip the lengthy waitlists for a new factory order while securing a car in showroom condition, this listing is the premier choice available today.

This Car vs Other 2024 DB12s

When comparing this specific unit to other 2024 models currently available in the GCC, the mileage is the primary differentiator. With only 3000 km on the odometer, this car has seen significantly less use than the average annual GCC benchmark of 20,000 km, positioning it as one of the freshest examples in the secondary market. The exterior finish in Green is not just a stylistic choice but a strategic one; it is the most iconic color for this marque and consistently remains the most sought-after by enthusiasts in the region, ensuring it remains liquid in the pre-owned market. Unlike many imports, this vehicle is configured for high-ambient temperatures, ensuring the infotainment and powertrain systems remain stable during the peak of the Gulf summer. The interior shows zero signs of wear, reflecting a level of care that sets it apart from higher-mileage alternatives that may have already faced the brunt of desert sand and sun exposure.

STD vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim for the new generation of Aston Martin grand tourers, the STD trim is anything but basic, effectively replacing the previous generation's flagship performance metrics. It introduces the new 680 hp powertrain as standard, which is a massive leap over the previous DB11's output. Inside, this trim level benefits from the entirely new, in-house developed infotainment system, a critical upgrade that GCC buyers have long awaited, featuring ultra-responsive touchscreens and wireless connectivity that rivals the best German luxury brands. You also get a higher grade of hand-stitched Bridge of Weir leather and a more advanced suspension geometry that was not available on any previous lower-tier models. The inclusion of the 360-degree 3D camera system and advanced park assist as standard equipment is a major advantage for navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai’s high-end districts, where these features were often optional on older variants.

DB12 vs Segment Rivals

The DB12 competes directly with the Bentley Continental GT and the Ferrari Roma, yet it carves out a unique niche in the GCC by being more driver-focused than the Bentley and more usable daily than the Ferrari. While the Bentley offers a heavier, more insulated ride, the DB12 provides a much sharper steering response and a more agile rear-wheel-drive platform that enthusiasts in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi prefer for spirited weekend drives. Compared to the Ferrari Roma, the DB12 offers a more intuitive interior layout and a larger fuel tank, which is a significant benefit for cross-border trips between the UAE and Oman. The cooling architecture in this model is specifically designed to handle the increased airflow requirements of its 680 hp engine, giving it a reliability edge in extreme heat over some Italian competitors. Furthermore, the updated cabin insulation provides a quieter highway experience at the higher speed limits found on major GCC motorways.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating a vehicle of this caliber in the GCC involves a structured approach to maintenance, with service intervals typically occurring every 16,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first. Authorized service centers are well-established in major hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Riyadh, ensuring that parts and expert technicians are always accessible. Real-world fuel consumption is surprisingly efficient for a V8 of this magnitude, benefiting from an 8-speed automatic that keeps RPMs low during highway cruising, though city traffic in Doha or Dubai will naturally see higher consumption. In terms of resale, the DB12 is currently in a high-demand phase with limited supply, leading to lower-than-average depreciation for a luxury coupe in its first two years. While European luxury cars typically see a 15% annual dip, the rarity and 'Super Tourer' branding of this model help it retain value more like a limited-production sports car. Owners can expect strong interest in the pre-owned market for at least the next three to five years given its leap in technology over its predecessor.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is a hand-assembled 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 producing a staggering 680 hp and 800 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. This level of performance is particularly noticeable on the wide, open highways of the GCC, where the car's mid-range acceleration makes overtaking effortless at any speed. The top speed of 325 km/h places it firmly in the supercar category, yet the adaptive damping system allows for a supple ride that soaks up road imperfections during long-distance commutes. It features five distinct drive modes, including a 'GT' mode that is perfectly calibrated for the smooth tarmac of the UAE and a 'Sport+' mode for more demanding technical roads like Jebel Jais. The rear-mounted electronic differential is a first for this model line, providing exceptional traction and stability when accelerating out of corners. Despite its low-slung profile, the ground clearance is sufficient for the well-maintained infrastructure and speed humps found in modern GCC residential communities.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a masterclass in modern luxury, featuring a 2+2 seating configuration that provides ample room for the driver and front passenger, while the rear seats serve as convenient extra storage or short-distance seating for children. The cabin is centered around a new 10.25-inch high-resolution display that is tilted for perfect ergonomics, ensuring that navigation and climate controls are within easy reach. For the GCC climate, the high-performance dual-zone climate control system is exceptionally fast at cooling the cabin even after the car has been parked in the sun. The standard Bowers & Wilkins audio system provides a 15-speaker surround sound experience that remains crystal clear even at high highway speeds. Acoustic laminated glass is used throughout to ensure that external wind and road noise are kept to an absolute minimum, creating a serene environment for long drives between emirates. The seats are multi-way power-adjustable and include memory functions, ensuring the perfect driving position can be restored instantly after a valet or car wash service.

Safety

Safety in the DB12 is handled by a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that are particularly beneficial in the fast-paced traffic of the GCC. Features like Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality make the heavy traffic on the E11 motorway far less taxing, while the Lane Change Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring provide an extra layer of security on multi-lane highways. The car is equipped with the latest generation of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which has been fine-tuned to handle various road surfaces, including the occasional sand-blown stretches of desert roads. Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning are standard, utilizing high-precision sensors to mitigate risks in urban environments. For night driving, the advanced LED Matrix headlights provide exceptional illumination, automatically adjusting the beam to avoid blinding oncoming traffic while maintaining maximum visibility of the road ahead. This combination of active and passive systems ensures that the driver remains confident regardless of the external conditions.

The bottom line

This 2024 Aston Martin DB12 is a rare opportunity to own a nearly-new 'Super Tourer' in the most iconic color combination without the typical showroom wait. It is the perfect acquisition for a discerning GCC buyer who demands supercar performance without sacrificing the daily comfort and technological sophistication of a modern luxury coupe.
