Summary

This 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 offers a sharp entry into the luxury sedan market, combining the brand's iconic four-door coupe styling with all-wheel-drive stability. Finished in white, a top-performing resale color in the GCC, this vehicle balances striking aesthetics with practical daily usability. While its mileage reflects regular highway use typical of UAE driving, it remains a sought-after choice for those prioritizing premium badge appeal and a tech-forward cabin. It stands out in the compact luxury segment for its aerodynamic efficiency and turbocharged responsiveness. For a GCC buyer, this represents a balanced opportunity to own a modern Mercedes-Benz that handles both city traffic and cross-emirate commutes with ease.

This Car vs Other 2018 CLA250s

With 160,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is average to high for its year in the GCC market, where long-distance highway driving is standard. However, the white exterior is a significant advantage, as it is the most preferred color for resale and heat reflection in the region. Choosing this model year ensures the refined aesthetics of the first-generation facelift before the major 2019 redesign.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The CLA250 offers a substantial performance leap over the CLA200, moving from a 1.6L to a 2.0L turbocharged engine and adding 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard. In the GCC, this translates to better stability during occasional rain or sand-slicked roads. Inside, the 250 typically features upgraded MBUX integration and sportier seat adjustments that are absent in the base entry-level variants.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

The CLA250 leads rivals like the Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe in pure stylistic drama with its frameless door windows and sloping roofline. Its 470-litre boot capacity is also remarkably competitive, offering more luggage depth than many compact executive rivals. For long drives across the Emirates, the CLA's superior drag coefficient makes it one of the quietest and most efficient highway cruisers in its class.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages roughly 6.1 to 7.3 L/100km, depending on the mix of Dubai stop-start traffic and E11 highway cruising. Service intervals are recommended every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized Mercedes-Benz centers, which are extensively available across all major GCC cities. While European luxury sedans typically see a 15–20% annual depreciation, the CLA250 maintains a steady floor in the UAE due to high demand for its specific body style.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine, this sedan delivers 208 hp and 350 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 0–100 km/h sprint in 6.7 seconds. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides confident power delivery, which is especially noticeable when merging onto fast-moving UAE motorways. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission ensures gear changes are seamless, maintaining comfort even when pushed for overtaking at speed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for five occupants, featuring the 'floating' infotainment screen and turbine-style air vents that have become a modern Mercedes-Benz hallmark. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered to handle extreme GCC summer temperatures, reaching cabin-cooling parity quickly even after being parked in the sun. Standard high-quality upholstery and ambient lighting packages create a premium atmosphere for evening drives through the city.

Safety

This CLA250 is equipped with Mercedes-Benz's comprehensive safety suite, including Collision Prevention Assist Plus and Attention Assist, which monitors for driver fatigue on long desert stretches. Standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive serves as a primary safety feature by optimizing traction on varying surfaces. The vehicle also carries a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, ensuring peace of mind for both driver and passengers.

The bottom line

This CLA250 is the ideal choice for a young professional or small family seeking the prestige of a Mercedes-Benz with the added security of all-wheel drive. Its popular color and GCC-spec reliability make it a smart, style-conscious purchase in today’s used market.
