Summary

This 2018 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S is a definitive modern performance icon, blending executive comfort with supercar-rivaling acceleration. With approximately 60,000 km, this example reflects lower-than-average usage for a 2018 model in the GCC, where high-speed highway commuting is common. Finished in a distinctive Green, it stands out in a sea of monochrome sedans while retaining the prestige and demand associated with the 'S' trim. For the GCC buyer, this remains one of the most capable daily drivers, offering all-weather grip via the 4MATIC+ system and a cabin designed to withstand extreme heat. It is a rare opportunity to own a hand-built V8 masterpiece with the reliability and tech of the W213 generation.

This Car vs Other 2018 E63 AMGs

With just over 60,000 km on the odometer, this E63 S has seen significantly less road time than many 2018 models in the region, which often exceed 100,000 km due to frequent travel between emirates. The unique Green finish is a bold alternative to the standard palette, appealing to enthusiasts looking for a spec that highlights the car's aggressive lines. This lower mileage and distinctive appearance make it a particularly attractive option for those prioritizing mechanical longevity and local resale presence.

S vs Lower Trims

The 'S' trim is the definitive version of the E63, adding 41 extra horsepower and 100 Nm of torque over the standard E63. Crucially for the GCC market, it introduces the AMG Driver’s Package as standard, raising the top speed to 300 km/h. It also features 'Drift Mode,' dynamic engine mounts, and an electronically controlled rear differential, hardware that provides superior stability and engagement during high-speed highway driving and weekend spirited runs.

E63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The E63 S consistently leads rivals like the BMW M5 and Audi RS6 in raw mechanical theater and cabin opulence. While competitors focus on clinical speed, the AMG offers a more emotive V8 soundtrack and a 9-speed MCT transmission that handles stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh with greater refinement. Its 450 kW output is paired with a Drift Mode feature that allows for pure rear-wheel drive, a flexibility not standard on all its AWD competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

While hand-built AMG engines require specialized care, the W213 platform benefits from a massive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Fuel consumption averages around 9.1 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic will see this rise toward 12-14 L/100km. AMG 'S' models typically retain value better than standard E-Class variants due to their enthusiast appeal and status as the final generation of pure V8 performance before hybrid downsizing.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is the handcrafted 4.0L biturbo V8, producing 612 hp and a massive 850 Nm of torque. This power is managed by the 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, which can vary torque between axles in milliseconds, providing immense confidence during desert highway overtakes or heavy rain. The standard 0–100 km/h sprint of 3.4 seconds puts it in the same territory as many dedicated two-door supercars.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in executive luxury, featuring Nappa leather AMG performance seats that provide exceptional support during cornering. To combat the GCC summer, the tri-zone climate control is highly effective, and this trim typically includes ventilated front seats for maximum comfort in high temperatures. The dual 12.3-inch widescreen displays offer a digital cockpit experience that remains cutting-edge, paired with premium Burmester audio for long-distance cruising.

Safety

This E63 S is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety tech including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and a 360° camera system which is indispensable for navigating tight parking in major GCC cities. The W213 generation was a leader in semi-autonomous features, offering adaptive cruise control that significantly reduces fatigue during long stretches of desert highway driving.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, high-spec V8 beast that offers the perfect balance of daily luxury and track-ready performance. For the buyer who wants the most powerful version of an icon in a color that won't be mistaken for anything else, this E63 S is the ultimate choice.
