Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 5.7 seconds
• 280 hp from a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder
• Top speed of 230 km/h

Summary

This Stelvio S represents a unique opportunity for enthusiasts, offering remarkably low mileage for its age in a market where 20,000 km per year is the standard. Finished in classic white, it holds a significant resale advantage as the most preferred color across the GCC. While rivals often force a choice between a base engine and a high-cost performance upgrade, this model bridges the gap with a punchy 280 hp powertrain as standard. Its sharp Italian handling and SUV practicality make it a standout for those who find the typical German segment leaders too clinical. For a buyer in the UAE or wider region, this is the rare chance to own a driver-focused crossover that has spent most of its life in a climate-controlled environment.

This Car vs Other 2019 Stelvios

With just 23,743 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered less than a quarter of the distance typically seen on a 2019 model in the GCC. While the average SUV of this age has likely faced heavy highway commutes between emirates, this unit's low usage suggests minimal wear on the suspension and interior. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, ensuring better heat reflection and significantly stronger resale value compared to darker or niche colors.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim (often referred to as the Sport) upgrades the driving experience significantly over the base model with the addition of a sport-tuned suspension and steering column-mounted aluminum paddle shifters. Visually, it steps up to 19-inch wheels and sport-style bumpers that provide a more aggressive stance. Inside, you benefit from upgraded sport seats with power-adjustable bolsters, providing the necessary support for the vehicle's high-speed cornering capabilities.

Stelvio vs Segment Rivals

The Stelvio leads the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC in pure steering response, utilizing a chassis derived from the Giulia sedan for superior agility. While many entry-level German rivals offer approximately 240-250 hp, this Alfa Romeo starts at 280 hp, providing a clear performance lead without stepping up to a six-cylinder price point. Its 400 Nm of torque is particularly useful for rapid highway overtaking on fast-moving UAE motorways.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 7.8 to 8.0 L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC stop-start traffic may see this rise. The vehicle requires 95-98 RON premium fuel to maintain its performance metrics. Authorized service centers are well-established in the UAE via Gargash Motors, with additional coverage in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait through Petromin and MBM. While European luxury SUVs typically see 12-18% annual depreciation in the GCC, the Stelvio's rarity and this specific unit's low mileage help it maintain a firm price floor.

Performance & Capability

A 0-100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds makes this one of the quickest four-cylinder SUVs available in the region. The Q4 all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased for a traditional sports car feel but can transfer up to 50% of torque to the front wheels instantly when it detects slip on sandy or wet surfaces. With a top speed of 230 km/h, it is perfectly suited for long-distance cross-border travel where stability at speed is paramount.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around the driver, featuring a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel. For the GCC climate, the dual-zone automatic climate control is exceptionally effective, supported by rear passenger air vents to ensure all five occupants remain cool during summer. The 525-liter boot provides ample space for weekend road trips, further enhanced by the convenience of a standard power liftgate.

Safety

This Stelvio comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Brembo high-performance brakes for superior stopping power in emergency situations. Standard features include a rearview camera with rear parking sensors, which are vital for maneuvering in tight urban parking structures. Advanced stability control and six airbags provide peace of mind, while the AWD system adds a layer of active safety during high-speed highway cruising and sudden lane changes.

The bottom line

This is a collector-quality example of Alfa Romeo's best-selling SUV, offering nearly new mechanical condition and the most desirable GCC resale specification.
