Summary

This 2019 BMW X7 50i M Sport offers a rare blend of flagship luxury and serious performance for the GCC market. With its white exterior—a top choice for local resale and heat reflection—and GCC-specific engineering, it is perfectly suited for the region's demands. The 530 hp V8 engine provides effortless power for long-distance highway cruising between emirates, while the M Sport enhancements ensure a more engaging drive than the standard 40i. For a family seeking a premium three-row SUV that doesn't compromise on speed or tech, this listing represents a well-maintained opportunity to own BMW's original flagship SAV. The combination of GCC regional specs and the higher-output powertrain makes it a standout choice in the pre-owned market.

This Car vs Other 2019 X7s

With 104,000 km, this X7 sits right at the average for a five-year-old executive vehicle in the GCC, where 20,000 km per year is the standard for highway-heavy commuting. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the UAE and Saudi markets, offering better heat management and superior resale value compared to darker tones. Being a GCC-spec model ensures the cooling system and air conditioning are calibrated for extreme summer temperatures, a critical advantage over imported American or European units.

50i M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The 50i M Sport trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base 40i by replacing the six-cylinder engine with a 4.4L V8 and adding standard features like the 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and multicontour leather seating. The M Sport package further enhances the vehicle with more aggressive aerodynamics, M Sport brakes, and an M Sport exhaust system that provides a richer engine note. Additionally, this trim includes the 360° surround-view camera as standard, a feature many GCC buyers find essential for maneuvering a vehicle of this size.

X7 vs Segment Rivals

The X7 leads segment rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 and Audi Q7 in driving dynamics, offering a more car-like feel despite its three-row configuration. Its 83-liter fuel tank is specifically beneficial for long-distance drives across the GCC, such as the Dubai-to-Muscat or Riyadh-to-Jeddah routes, providing extensive range between stops. While the GLS focuses on soft comfort, the X7 50i M Sport provides a more powerful V8 experience and a more modern digital cockpit interface for the 2019 model year.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.4L V8 averages around 11.5 L/100km, which is efficient for a large performance SUV during highway cruising but will increase in heavy stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are managed by BMW’s Condition-Based Service (CBS) system, typically occurring every 12,000 to 15,000 km, with a widespread network of authorized centers across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait. While European luxury SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese alternatives, the 50i M Sport maintains higher demand in the GCC used market due to its specific trim and engine configuration.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 4.7-second 0–100 km/h acceleration, which allows this large SUV to keep pace with dedicated sports cars. The xDrive four-wheel-drive system and adjustable air suspension provide 221 mm of ground clearance, making it capable for light desert excursions and weekend family trips to the mountains. Five selectable drive modes allow the driver to prioritize fuel efficiency on the highway or sharpen the throttle and suspension for more spirited driving.

Comfort & Cabin

This seven-seater configuration features a proper third row that comfortably accommodates adults, supported by a dedicated four-zone climate control system with vents for every passenger—vital for the GCC summer. The cabin is exceptionally quiet thanks to acoustic glass, while the panoramic sunroof adds a sense of space without compromising insulation. High-quality leather and multi-contour seats ensure comfort during multi-hour road trips across the emirates.

Safety

Standard safety features include BMW’s Active Driving Assistant, which provides blind-spot detection and lane departure warning, both of which are highly useful on fast-moving, multi-lane GCC highways. The 360° surround-view camera system and front/rear parking sensors come standard on this trim, simplifying parking in tight urban spaces. Frontal collision warning and automatic emergency braking provide an extra layer of protection for city driving.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer who needs seven seats but wants the soul of a performance car, this GCC-spec 50i M Sport is a high-specification opportunity that holds its value better than almost any other X7 configuration.
