Summary

This 2025 Mercedes-AMG G63 represents a unique opportunity to own the updated 'W463A' generation with its refined 48V mild-hybrid system. Despite being only one year old, the mileage reflects consistent highway use, which is typical for luxury cruisers in the GCC. The Grey exterior is one of the most sought-after resale colors in the region, ensuring long-term value retention. Compared to its rivals, the G63 offers a distinct blend of military-grade hardware and high-performance engineering that remains the benchmark for status and capability in the Middle East. For a GCC buyer, the most important consideration is the strength of the authorized service network, which is second to none for Mercedes-Benz across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

This Car vs Other 2025 G63 AMGs

With 82,000 km in a single year, this vehicle has been driven significantly more than the GCC average of 25,000 km, suggesting it was likely used for frequent long-distance commutes between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. While the mileage is high for its age, these highway kilometers are often easier on the engine and suspension than stop-start city driving. The Grey paint is a strategic choice for the local market, as it hides desert dust well and holds a premium over less traditional colors at resale.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the AMG variant, this trim adds the hand-built 4.0L biturbo V8, which provides 142 hp more than the standard G550. GCC buyers will appreciate the standard Burmester 3D Surround Sound system and the MBUX 'Transparent Hood' technology, which uses 360-degree cameras to show obstacles under the car—vital for navigating rocky terrain. It also includes the AMG Ride Control suspension, specifically retuned for 2025 to offer better comfort on uneven tarmac.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Lamborghini Urus or Range Rover P530 offer more car-like handling, the G63 leads with its heavy-duty body-on-frame construction and triple-locking differentials, making it a genuine off-roader. It also features a larger fuel tank than many performance SUVs, providing the range necessary for long cross-border drives. Its iconic upright design provides superior visibility in fast-moving highway traffic compared to the sloped rooflines of its competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2025 G63 typically hovers around 15–18 L/100km depending on how often the V8 is pushed in city traffic. Mercedes-Benz maintains a massive authorized service presence across the GCC, ensuring parts and specialized technicians are available from Kuwait to Oman. Historically, the G63 enjoys some of the highest value retention in the luxury segment, often losing only 15% in its first year compared to 20-25% for other European SUVs. This GCC-spec model is particularly valuable locally as it carries the regional cooling and warranty compatibility desired by used buyers.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp output ensures a top speed of 220 km/h, but the real story is the 850 Nm of torque available from just 2,500 rpm, allowing for effortless highway overtaking. Its 241 mm of ground clearance and 700 mm wading depth are matched with dedicated 'Sand', 'Trail', and 'Rock' drive modes. In the GCC, this translates to a vehicle that can transition from a high-speed cruise on the E11 to a desert expedition without breaking a sweat.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a fortress of luxury, featuring Nappa leather and a 12.3-inch digital cockpit as standard. For the Middle Eastern climate, the powerful three-zone climate control system is supplemented by ventilated front seats to ensure comfort during the peak of summer. The upright seating position provides a commanding view of the road, while extensive acoustic glass helps insulate passengers from both heat and wind noise during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

The 2025 G63 comes equipped with a full ADAS suite, including Active Steering Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are essential for navigating the multi-lane highways of the UAE. It also features the Pre-Safe system and a comprehensive airbag arrangement that protects all five occupants. The 360-degree camera system is particularly useful for parking such a large, boxy vehicle in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the latest G-Wagon technology and the most desirable resale color without the waitlist for a brand-new unit, this highway-proven 2025 G63 is a compelling choice. It offers the perfect balance of iconic status and updated mechanical refinement for the serious GCC motorist.
