Summary

This Land Cruiser 70 offers a rare opportunity to own a legendary workhorse with notably low mileage for a seven-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where 25,000 km per year is common. Finished in white, the most preferred color for resale in the local market, it features the durable 4.0L V6 petrol engine that is highly prized for its mechanical simplicity and cooling efficiency in extreme desert heat. The 70-series remains the definitive choice for those who prioritize off-road durability over modern complexity, standing alone in a segment where rivals have transitioned to more digital platforms. For a GCC buyer, this manual-transmission pickup represents one of the most reliable long-term investments available, supported by a parts network that spans every corner of the region.

This Car vs Other 2019 Land Cruiser 70s

With just 38,997 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered significantly less ground than the typical 140,000 to 175,000 km expected for a car of this age in the GCC. Its white exterior further solidifies its position as a high-value asset, as this color consistently maintains the strongest resale demand and best heat reflection in the region. Finding a 2019 model in such low-use condition is a distinct advantage for buyers seeking a platform that hasn't been subjected to heavy industrial or commercial cycles.

LC79 HARD TOP vs Lower Trims

The LC79 Hard Top trim provides a more robust enclosed cabin experience compared to the basic cab-chassis variants, offering better insulation from the desert sun and external dust. While lower trims often feature basic vinyl upholstery, this configuration typically includes upgraded seating comfort and power windows that are essential for daily GCC driving. It balances the utility of a pickup with the cabin security of a closed vehicle, making it more versatile for both work sites and weekend expeditions.

Land Cruiser 70 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Nissan Patrol Super Safari offer similar off-road heritage, the Land Cruiser 70 leads with a specialized heavy-duty chassis specifically engineered for extreme payloads and industrial-grade durability. Its naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine is often preferred over the smaller turbocharged units found in modern mid-sized pickups for its ability to handle low-quality fuel in remote areas and its superior cooling performance during high-ambient summer drives. The simplicity of its manual 4WD transfer case provides a level of mechanical reliability that many electronic systems cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L 1GR-FE V6 engine is a staple of the Toyota lineup in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, meaning maintenance is straightforward and parts are available at every major service center across the GCC. Real-world fuel consumption for this petrol unit averages around 14.4 L/100km, which is typical for a heavy-duty 4x4 of this weight. The Land Cruiser 70 series is renowned for having the lowest depreciation rate in the GCC market, often retaining 80-90% of its value even after several years of use, making the total cost of ownership exceptionally low compared to European rivals.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, which allows this pickup to haul heavy equipment or large trailers across soft sand and rugged terrain with ease. Its 228 hp V6 engine provides consistent torque at low RPM, essential for technical dune climbing and navigating the rocky wadis of the northern Emirates or Oman. The combination of a manual five-speed gearbox and a selectable high/low range transfer case gives the driver total mechanical control over the all-wheel-drive system, a feature highly valued by seasoned off-roaders.

Comfort & Cabin

This four-door configuration offers a rare six-seat layout, providing enough room for a full crew or family while maintaining a dedicated cargo bed for equipment. The cabin is designed for functional comfort in the GCC climate, featuring a powerful air conditioning system engineered to drop temperatures quickly even when the mercury hits 50°C. Durable interior materials are used throughout to withstand the abrasive sand and dust common in the region, ensuring the cabin remains tidy even after years of active outdoor use.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include dual front airbags and a specialized Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) designed to provide stable stopping power on loose surfaces. The vehicle's heavy-duty ladder-frame construction serves as a primary safety cell, offering significant protection during off-road maneuvers. It also includes basic but essential electronics like Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) to assist with handling on fast-moving UAE highways.

The bottom line

This is a rare, low-mileage example of the UAE's most respected workhorse, offering a bulletproof mechanical setup and the best possible color for local resale. It is the perfect choice for an enthusiast or professional who wants a virtually new 70-series without the price tag of a 2026 model.
