Alfa Romeo Stelvio QUADRIFOGLIO

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds
• 510 hp from a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6
• Top speed of 283 km/h

Summary

This 6-year-old performance SUV presents an exceptional opportunity in the GCC market, combining Ferrari-derived engineering with a practical crossover body. With 50,000 km on the clock, its mileage is significantly lower than the average for a car of this age in the region, where highway commuting typically adds 25,000 km annually. The Red exterior is the signature Alfa Romeo color, ensuring strong aesthetic appeal and supporting its resale value among local enthusiasts. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is fully optimized for high-temperature durability and local service center compatibility. For the buyer who wants supercar performance without sacrificing the utility needed for UAE family life, this is the definitive choice.

This Car vs Other 2020 Stelvios

At 50,000 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 8,300 km per year, which is less than half the typical GCC annual average of 20,000 km. While standard Stelvios of this year often serve as daily commuters, this Quadrifoglio appears to have been a weekend enthusiast car. The signature Red finish is the most desirable color for this specific trim in the UAE used market, offering a distinct advantage at resale over more common white or silver variants.

QUADRIFOGLIO vs Lower Trims

The Quadrifoglio is a complete mechanical departure from the Ti and Super trims, replacing the standard 4-cylinder engine with a 510 hp V6. It adds essential performance hardware for the GCC, including a torque-vectoring rear differential, active suspension, and an exclusive 'Race' mode. Inside, you receive carbon fiber interior trim, Alcantara-wrapped sport seats, and oversized aluminum paddle shifters that are not available on lower specifications.

Stelvio vs Segment Rivals

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio leads rivals like the Porsche Macan Turbo and BMW X3 M in pure steering feel and weight distribution, providing a more car-like experience on fast-moving highways like E11. Its carbon fiber driveshaft and lightweight aluminum construction offer a power-to-weight ratio that many competitors in this segment struggle to match. For the GCC driver, the Ferrari-developed engine note provides a level of soul and character that is unique among European performance SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption reflects its performance pedigree, averaging approximately 12.3 L/100km, which can rise during stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from a comprehensive authorized service network via Gargash in the UAE, ensuring parts and technical expertise are readily available. While European performance SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese workhorses, the Quadrifoglio's low mileage and iconic status help it retain value better than base-model European crossovers.

Performance & Capability

With a top speed of 283 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.8 seconds, this SUV offers genuine supercar pace. The Q4 all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased for driving purity but can instantly transfer up to 50% of torque to the front wheels for stability during sudden lane changes or on sandy road shoulders. The active suspension system helps smooth out highway joints during long inter-city drives between the Emirates while remaining flat and composed through high-speed bends.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC enthusiast, featuring high-quality leather and Alcantara that stays cooler than full leather under the summer sun. The dual-zone climate control is robust, complemented by rear vents to ensure all five passengers remain comfortable during July heat. Tech highlights for 2020 include the updated 8.8-inch multi-touch display with Apple CarPlay and a premium 10-speaker audio system, making long desert highway stretches more enjoyable.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a full suite of safety technology essential for high-speed GCC roads, including Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Blind-Spot Monitoring for multi-lane highway safety. The 2020 model year also features Lane Keep Assist and Driver Attention Alert to assist during long-distance travel. The Q4 all-wheel-drive system acts as a primary safety feature, providing exceptional mechanical grip on the varied surfaces found across the region.

The bottom line

This is a rare, low-mileage example of the ultimate Italian performance SUV, perfectly suited for a GCC buyer who demands Ferrari-level thrills in a versatile daily package.
