Summary

This 2020 BMW M4 CS is a precision-engineered collector’s piece, representing the pinnacle of the F82 generation. With mileage significantly below the GCC annual average, it offers a rare opportunity to own a track-focused special edition that remains remarkably fresh. The CS trim bridges the gap between the Competition and the hardcore GTS, offering enhanced power and lightweight carbon fiber components without sacrificing daily usability. For a buyer in the GCC, this model stands out for its exclusivity and the prestige of the CS badge, which historically commands much stronger value retention than standard M4 variants. Its striking red finish and aggressive aero profile make it a standout choice for enthusiasts seeking a pure, rear-wheel-drive performance icon.

This Car vs Other 2020 M4s

With just 42,554 km on the odometer, this M4 CS has been driven roughly 10,000 km per year—less than half the typical GCC annual usage of 25,000 km. While many American-spec imports may have varied histories, this car’s low mileage presents a clear mechanical advantage for long-term ownership in the region. The vibrant red exterior is a high-visibility, high-demand choice that maintains strong appeal in the local pre-owned market.

CS vs Lower Trims

The CS trim is a significant leap over the standard M4 or Competition models, adding a power boost to 454 hp and substantial weight savings through a carbon fiber hood, roof, and rear diffuser. It features unique staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Orbit Grey wheels paired with a specifically tuned Adaptive M Suspension. Inside, the cabin is upgraded with Alcantara trim and lightweight sport seats, emphasizing its track-ready DNA over the more common leather-heavy base trims.

M4 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Mercedes-AMG C63 S or the Audi RS5, the M4 CS is widely regarded as the more focused driver's tool due to its lighter curb weight and superior front-end precision. While the AMG offers a V8 soundtrack, the BMW’s S55 inline-six and M Double Clutch Transmission provide faster shifts and a more agile chassis balance that is better suited for the high-speed curves of the Yas Marina or Dubai Autodrome. It offers a pure rear-wheel-drive experience that purists often prefer over the all-wheel-drive configurations of its rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The M4 CS returns a combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.1 L/100km, though spirited city driving in stop-start traffic will see this increase. Resale value for the CS is notably higher than standard M4s; special edition M cars typically see a depreciation rate of just 8-12% annually in the GCC, compared to 15-20% for base models. BMW’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures that maintenance and specialized parts for this limited-run model are readily available.

Performance & Capability

The defining metric of the M4 CS is its 3.9-second 0–100 km/h sprint, enabled by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that handles the 600 Nm of torque with surgical efficiency. With a factory-limited top speed of 280 km/h, it is perfectly suited for long-distance highway cruising between Emirates. The Active M Differential and track-honed steering rack provide incredible confidence during high-speed overtaking and technical driving maneuvers.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat interior is a blend of lightweight racing intent and German luxury, featuring a unique CS-exclusive Alcantara dashboard and center console. Despite its performance focus, the cabin remains comfortable for GCC summers thanks to a robust dual-zone climate control system and high-quality insulation. The inclusion of the BMW iDrive system with navigation and a premium audio setup ensures that daily commutes remain as engaging as weekend track sessions.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the CS includes BMW’s Active Protection system, which detects imminent accidents and prepares the cabin by tensioning belts and closing windows. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with M Dynamic Mode allows for adjustable levels of intervention, making it safer to explore the car's limits on various surfaces. Front and side airbags, along with high-performance M Compound brakes, provide a comprehensive safety net for both highway and spirited driving.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who demands a limited-run M car with significantly lower-than-average mileage, this M4 CS offers the perfect balance of collectibility and raw performance in the GCC market.
