Summary

This 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT represents a high-performance SUV that perfectly bridges the gap between a daily family hauler and a track-capable muscle car. At 6 years old with 100,000 km, its mileage is exactly in line with GCC annual driving averages, suggesting a well-used but appropriately maintained life in the region. The Black exterior is a perennially strong resale choice in the Gulf market, maintaining its appeal for both enthusiasts and executive buyers. While this is a Canadian spec vehicle, it offers the full SRT performance suite that makes the Grand Cherokee a standout for its aggressive stance and legendary V8 soundtrack. For the GCC buyer, the combination of massive naturally aspirated power and high-speed highway stability makes it an ideal companion for long inter-emirate drives.

This Car vs Other 2020 Grand Cherokees

With 100,000 km on the odometer, this SRT has averaged roughly 16,600 km per year, which is remarkably low compared to the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. In a market where high-speed highway commuting is the norm, this lower-than-average usage makes it a highly attractive option for performance seekers. The black-on-black aesthetic is the most sought-after configuration for the SRT trim in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring it retains a premium look and strong resale interest.

SRT vs Lower Trims

The SRT is a dramatic leap over the Limited or Overland trims, replacing the standard suspension with an adaptive Bilstein competition system and massive six-piston Brembo brakes. Inside, it adds performance-bolstered seats, carbon fiber trim, and the SRT Performance Pages, which provide real-time telemetry that GCC enthusiasts value. It also features a specialized on-road biased All-Wheel Drive system designed for maximum grip during high-speed maneuvers rather than slow-speed rock crawling.

Grand Cherokee vs Segment Rivals

The Grand Cherokee SRT stands apart from rivals like the BMW X5 M or Range Rover Sport by offering a massive naturally aspirated 6.4L V8, providing a linear power delivery and exhaust note that turbocharged competitors cannot replicate. It leads in pure towing utility with a 2,949 kg capacity, making it far more capable of hauling trailers or boats across the Emirates. Its cabin is built for long-distance comfort, featuring deep cooling capacity for the regional climate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 6.4L HEMI typically averages around 14.0L/100km, though this will rise in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are generally every 12,000 km, and while this is a Canadian spec model, Jeep's extensive authorized network across the UAE and GCC ensures parts and technical support are readily available. The SRT trim is an enthusiast favorite in the Gulf, meaning it typically experiences slower depreciation than base luxury SUV models due to high demand in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood sits the legendary 6.4-litre HEMI V8, propelling this SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 260 km/h. The Selec-Track system allows the driver to choose between five dynamic modes—Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, and Tow—altering the torque split and suspension firmness to suit the environment. Whether you are overtaking on the E11 or navigating a weekend family trip, the SRT provides effortless power and a planted, confidence-inspiring ride.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a mix of luxury and race-inspired utility, featuring ventilated front seats that are essential for the GCC summer heat and a premium Harman Kardon audio system. Despite its performance focus, it remains a true five-seater with ample legroom and a power liftgate for easy access to the cargo area. The Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen remains one of the most intuitive systems available, providing seamless smartphone integration for long drives across the borders.

Safety

This SRT comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection, which are vital for the fast-paced, multi-lane highway traffic common in the GCC. It also features Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control, making long desert highway stretches less fatiguing. The robust Brembo braking system provides exceptional stopping power, ensuring the vehicle can handle sudden stops even from high cruising speeds.

The bottom line

This SRT is a rare find for a buyer who wants a low-mileage performance icon that handles the GCC's demanding roads and temperatures with ease.
