Summary

This 2020 Pajero Signature Edition represents the peak of the model's final generation, offering a well-maintained balance of mileage and age that makes it a top-tier choice in the GCC used market. While the 3.8L V6 engine provides a significant power bump over the common 3.0L and 3.5L variants, the Signature Edition adds distinct visual flair with blacked-out accents and gold trim that help it stand out from standard trims. The Pajero remains a GCC favorite for its ability to handle both the intense summer heat and desert weekend escapes without the complexity of more modern rivals. Its simple mechanical layout and wide parts availability ensure that ownership remains stress-free across the UAE and neighboring countries. For a buyer looking for a reliable, go-anywhere seven-seater with the best factory specifications available, this listing is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2020 Pajeros

With 78,435 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits comfortably below the GCC average of 100,000 km for a four-year-old SUV. While many Pajeros in the market are entry-level 3.0L models, this 3.8L Signature Edition offers the maximum power output and the most desirable aesthetic package. The 'Other' exterior color, often referring to specialized metallic or two-tone finishes in the Signature range, holds stable resale value compared to the common white or silver variants.

GLS H/L SIGNATURE EDI vs Lower Trims

The Signature Edition is the ultimate evolution of the GLS High-Line trim, adding a black-themed exterior package including a black grille, tinted headlights, and gold-finished Mitsubishi emblems. Inside, it often features higher-quality leather and unique trim accents not found on the standard GLS. Crucially, this trim retains the rear differential lock and the full Rockford Fosgate premium audio system, features that are highly sought after by GCC buyers for both lifestyle and resale benefit.

Pajero vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Prado or Nissan Pathfinder, the Pajero leads with its legendary Super Select 4WD II system, allowing for high-speed four-wheel drive engagement on paved roads—a major advantage for unpredictable rainy seasons or sandy highway shoulders in the GCC. While rivals may offer more modern infotainment, the Pajero’s 88-litre fuel tank provides superior range for long cross-border drives between Dubai and Riyadh. Its body-on-frame durability remains the benchmark for buyers who actually intend to venture into the dunes.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.8L V6 is a robust workhorse designed for longevity, with real-world fuel consumption averaging 13.5 L/100km, though this can rise in heavy stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Doha. Maintenance is exceptionally convenient thanks to the massive Al Habtoor (UAE) and similar service networks across the GCC, with parts available in almost every major city. The Pajero holds its value remarkably well, typically depreciating at a slower 8-12% annually, bolstered by its discontinued status which has created a strong floor for clean, late-model examples.

Performance & Capability

The 243 hp 3.8L MIVEC engine provides the necessary torque for confident highway overtaking and navigating soft desert sand. The Super Select 4WD system offers four distinct modes, including a locked 4WD high and low range for genuine off-road exploration. With a ground clearance of 235 mm and a specialized approach angle, it handles wadi drives and dune bashing with ease. On the highway, the 5-speed automatic provides a smooth, steady cruise suitable for the UAE's fast-moving traffic flow.

Comfort & Cabin

This seven-seater is tailored for the GCC climate, featuring a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents that ensure all three rows stay cool during the peak of summer. The leather-appointed interior includes power-adjustable seats and a sunroof, creating a bright and premium atmosphere for family road trips. The third row can be fully stowed into the floor, a signature feature that transforms the cabin into a massive cargo area for weekend camping gear or large shopping trips.

Safety

The Signature Edition comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including multiple SRS airbags and Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC). For highway safety, it features Cruise Control and high-intensity HID headlamps with washers for improved visibility during dust storms. The inclusion of Brake Assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution provides reliable stopping power, even when the vehicle is fully loaded with seven passengers and luggage.

The bottom line

Perfect for a GCC family that wants the maximum factory specification of a legend; this Signature Edition combines low-mileage reliability with the most powerful engine in the Pajero lineup.
