Summary

This 2020 Mitsubishi Pajero represents a rare opportunity to own a late-model example of a legendary off-roader with impressively low mileage for its age. As the Signature Edition, it combines rugged hardware with refined cabin finishes, making it a versatile choice for families who enjoy desert weekends. Its white exterior is the gold standard for resale value in the GCC, ensuring it remains a smart financial move. The 3.5-litre V6 is widely regarded as the most balanced powertrain for the region, offering enough power for highway overtaking while remaining easier to maintain than larger displacement rivals. This is a durable, body-on-frame workhorse designed to handle the extreme heat and long distances of the Gulf with absolute reliability.

This Car vs Other 2020 Pajeros

With just 56,702 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered significantly less ground than the average 2020 SUV in the GCC, which typically sees 20,000 km or more annually. Its white paintwork is the most sought-after color in the local used market, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining the highest resale demand across the Emirates and beyond.

GLS H/L SIGNATURE EDI vs Lower Trims

The GLS Signature Edition significantly elevates the interior experience over the base GLX or standard GLS trims, featuring premium leather upholstery and a power-adjustable driver's seat. It also includes the high-line technology package, adding a larger touchscreen interface and a rearview camera, which are essential for navigating city parking and tight off-road trails.

Pajero vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Prado or Nissan Pathfinder, the Pajero offers a more mechanical, driver-connected off-road experience thanks to its specialized Super Select 4WD II system. Its 88-litre fuel tank provides a greater touring range for cross-border trips between GCC capitals, and its compact overhangs give it a distinct advantage in steep dune approaches.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 is a staple of the region, ensuring that parts are readily available at every corner of the GCC, from Al Habtoor in the UAE to distributors in Saudi Arabia and Oman. While it consumes approximately 13.5L/100km in combined cycles, its simple mechanical design leads to lower long-term maintenance costs compared to turbocharged rivals. The Pajero maintains one of the strongest residual value profiles in the Gulf, often retaining up to 60-70% of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

Armed with a 200 hp V6 and a sophisticated low-range transfer case, this Pajero is a true go-anywhere vehicle that can transition from highway cruising to soft-sand driving with the shift of a lever. Its 235 mm of ground clearance ensures it clears obstacles that would stop road-biased crossovers, while the four-wheel independent suspension provides a stable ride on washboard gravel tracks.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for the Gulf climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to keep all seven passengers cool during peak summer. The flexible seating layout allows the third row to be stowed completely flat under the floor, creating a massive cargo area for camping gear or large grocery runs. Acoustic glass and improved insulation help keep the interior quiet during long high-speed drives between emirates.

Safety

Safety is managed through a comprehensive suite including Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC), which is particularly effective on slippery sand and wet highway surfaces. It comes standard with multi-stage front airbags, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and a reinforced RISE body structure designed to protect the passenger cell in the event of an impact.

The bottom line

This is the ideal purchase for a GCC resident looking for a low-mileage, high-trim version of the region's most trusted SUV before the model disappears from the used market entirely.
