Summary

This 2020 Nissan Micra S is a prime example of the final model year for this generation, offering a well-balanced mileage that aligns perfectly with GCC highway-heavy driving patterns. Finished in Black, it presents a professional and high-resale look that remains a staple in the local used market. As a Japanese-engineered hatchback, it excels in dense urban environments where its compact dimensions and light steering make navigating tight parking a breeze. For the budget-conscious buyer, this specific listing represents a reliable opportunity to own a late-model city car with the backing of Nissan's massive local support network. It is arguably the most practical choice for first-time drivers or as an efficient secondary runabout for the family.

This Car vs Other 2020 Micras

With 94,000 km on the odometer, this Micra sits at an average mileage for its age in the GCC, reflecting steady use without the excessive wear often seen in fleet or delivery vehicles. While white is the most common shade locally, this Black exterior offers a sleek alternative that holds its value well and provides a more premium aesthetic on city streets. It remains a solid mid-range option for those seeking a modern model year with mechanical longevity.

S vs Lower Trims

In the GCC market, the Micra S serves as the functional entry point, typically including essential regional features like high-output air conditioning and front power windows that lower-tier fleet trims might lack. It retains the core mechanical simplicity that Nissan owners value, focusing on durability and ease of repair over complex electronic add-ons. This trim is specifically favoured for its straightforward maintenance and reliable 1.5L powertrain.

Micra vs Segment Rivals

The Micra leads rivals like the Toyota Yaris and Chevrolet Spark in sheer ease of maneuverability, thanks to one of the tightest turning circles in its class. While competitors might offer different tech suites, the Nissan provides a more robust AC system designed specifically for the extreme heat of the Gulf. It also benefits from a larger 1.5L engine compared to some sub-compact rivals, providing more confident highway merging.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2020 Micra is known for exceptional fuel economy, averaging approximately 6.9 L/100km, which translates to significant savings during long-distance commutes between Emirates. Nissan's authorised service centres are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are always affordable and accessible. The model experiences a steady depreciation rate of roughly 15-18% annually, which is standard for Japanese hatchbacks in this segment.

Performance & Capability

Generating 99 hp from its 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, the Micra provides punchy performance that is perfectly suited for GCC city traffic and inner-city highways. The 4-speed automatic transmission is geared for smoothness and reliability rather than outright speed, making it a stress-free companion for daily driving. Its lightweight chassis and front-wheel-drive setup ensure predictable handling even on rain-slicked urban roads or gravel-strewn surfaces.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Micra offers a surprisingly airy cabin for five passengers, with seating designed to remain comfortable during long highway stretches. The air conditioning is a standout feature, engineered to reach cabin-cooling temperatures rapidly even during the peak of the GCC summer. Storage is practical, with a 326-litre boot that easily accommodates weekly groceries or a few cabin-sized suitcases for airport runs.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with essential safety systems including dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Brake Assist (BA) to help manage sudden stops in fast-moving traffic. It also features Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and a reinforced body structure designed to provide peace of mind for daily urban commuting. These standard features ensure the Micra remains a safe and responsible choice for small families.

The bottom line

Perfect for the urban commuter or a savvy first-time buyer, this 2020 Micra S offers the ultimate blend of Nissan's regional reliability and low running costs in a well-maintained, GCC-spec package.
