Highlights

• 235 hp from a 4.0L V6
• 310 mm maximum ground clearance
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2020 Hilux Adventure is an exceptional find in the GCC market, combining the flagship V6 powertrain with remarkably low mileage for its six-year age. Unlike many pickups in the region used for heavy labor, this unit has been driven sparingly, averaging just over 4,300 km per year. The Black exterior is a highly desirable choice that supports strong resale value across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. As the top-tier Adventure trim, it offers the perfect balance of rugged off-road hardware and premium cabin comfort. For a buyer seeking Toyota's legendary reliability without the high cost of a brand-new model, this low-mileage V6 is a rare and sensible opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2020 Hiluxes

While the average six-year-old vehicle in the GCC typically accumulates between 120,000 and 150,000 km, this Hilux has covered just 26,077 km. This extremely low usage makes it a mechanical standout, as the engine and suspension have faced minimal wear compared to typical regional workhorses. The Black finish is a premium resale color in the UAE, ensuring it stays high on the list for future buyers.

ADVENTURE vs Lower Trims

The Adventure trim sits at the top of the lineup, adding aggressive wide-body cladding, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, and a specialized sport front bumper that lower GLX trims lack. Inside, you benefit from premium touches like dual-tone leather upholstery and an 8-inch touchscreen with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Most importantly for the GCC, this trim includes the 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor, making parking and tight off-road maneuvers significantly easier.

Hilux vs Segment Rivals

The Hilux leads rivals like the Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi L200 primarily through its massive 4.0L V6 engine, providing smoother highway overtaking than the smaller four-cylinder units found in competitors. Its 80-litre fuel tank offers a superior driving range for cross-country trips between cities like Dubai and Muscat. Furthermore, Toyota's cabin cooling efficiency is widely regarded as the most effective for maintaining comfort during extreme 45°C summer peaks.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 petrol engine delivers a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.7 L/100km, performing reliably on 95-octane fuel available at every station in the region. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals and the largest authorized service network in the GCC, including Al-Futtaim in the UAE and Abdul Latif Jameel in Saudi Arabia. Historically, the Hilux Adventure retains nearly 75-80% of its value after three years, making it one of the safest automotive investments in the local market.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with the high-output 1GR-FE V6 engine, this truck produces a verified 235 horsepower and 376 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless power for desert dune bashing or highway cruising. The part-time 4WD system includes a dedicated low-range transfer case and a rear differential lock for maximum traction in deep sand. With a maximum ground clearance of 310 mm and a 700 mm wading depth, it is purpose-built to handle the most demanding off-road conditions found across the GCC.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat Double Cab layout is designed for both utility and family comfort, featuring a factory-chilled cool box in the glove compartment to keep drinks cold during long desert drives. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the high-ambient temperatures of the Middle East, with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool. High-quality cabin insulation effectively reduces road noise, providing a surprisingly quiet environment for a body-on-frame pickup.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite of active systems, including Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC). The Adventure trim is equipped with seven airbags and a reinforced ladder-frame chassis designed to provide maximum protection. Standard features like the 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors provide critical visibility when navigating busy city traffic or tight worksites.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a GCC buyer who needs a flagship-spec truck with 'like-new' mechanical integrity for a used-market price. Its combination of the 4.0L V6 engine and exceptionally low mileage makes it the most reliable dual-purpose vehicle currently available.
