Summary

This 2021 BMW X6 M Competition offers an elite combination of high-performance engineering and aggressive design, sitting at the top of the luxury coupe-SUV hierarchy. With 71,912 km, the mileage is perfectly in line with typical GCC usage for a five-year-old performance vehicle, suggesting it has been enjoyed primarily on the UAE’s well-maintained highway networks. The Black exterior is a perennially strong resale choice in the local market, holding its value better than more niche colors while effectively hiding the road dust common in the region. For the GCC buyer, the Competition trim is the definitive choice, providing the mechanical upgrades and road presence required to stand out in a region that values high-output SUVs. This specific listing represents a balanced opportunity to own a top-tier M car that has transitioned past its steepest initial depreciation curve while remaining mechanically modern.

This Car vs Other 2021 X6s

With approximately 71,912 km, this X6 M Competition has covered an average of 14,400 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. This lower-than-average mileage for its five years of age makes it a highly attractive prospect for buyers wary of high-wear performance engines. The Black-on-Black configuration remains one of the most liquid color combinations in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi used markets, ensuring easier resale compared to brighter, less conventional palettes.

M COMPETITION vs Lower Trims

The M Competition sits above the standard X6 M and the M60i, adding a performance-tuned exhaust system, staggered 21-inch front and 22-inch rear M light-alloy wheels, and Shadowline exterior trim as standard. Inside, the M Competition adds specialized M seat belts and track-focused drive modes that allow for deeper customization of the xDrive system and suspension damping. GCC buyers will particularly value the standard inclusion of higher-grade Merino leather and enhanced cooling capabilities built into the M-specific chassis.

X6 vs Segment Rivals

The X6 M Competition is frequently cross-shopped with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe and the Audi RS Q8. While rivals focus on air-suspension comfort, the BMW leads in raw steering precision and aggressive power delivery, offering a more visceral 'M' experience on fast highway stretches like the E11. Its 83-litre fuel tank provides a substantial range for cross-emirate commutes, comparable to the best in the high-performance SUV segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages 12.5 L/100km, though this will increase in heavy stop-start city traffic in Downtown Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals for BMW M models are typically every 12,000 to 15,000 km, and with an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, specialized M-technician support is always accessible. While high-performance European SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese luxury rivals, the X6 M Competition maintains a loyal enthusiast following in the GCC, helping it retain value better than standard non-M models.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is the 4.4-litre V8 producing 600 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 3.8 seconds—faster than many dedicated sports cars. The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased to maintain a sporty feel, but provides immense traction for high-speed stability during sudden summer sandstorms or high-speed overtaking. While not designed for deep dunes, the selectable drive modes and 213 mm ground clearance make it more than capable of handling gravel tracks and weekend drives to Jebel Jais.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a masterclass in driver-focused ergonomics, featuring the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with dual 12.3-inch displays. Given the GCC climate, the high-capacity four-zone climate control and powerful cabin cooling are essential features that maintain comfort even when temperatures exceed 45°C. The 16-speaker Harman Kardon system provides exceptional acoustic clarity, effectively insulating passengers from road noise during long-distance highway hauls.

Safety

Standard safety tech on the M Competition includes a 360° surround-view camera, which is vital for maneuvering the wide coupe-SUV body in tight mall parking lots. For the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the UAE, the Active Driving Assistant provides blind-spot detection and lane departure warnings to ensure safety during high-speed transit. The robust M Compound braking system provides consistent, fade-free stopping power, offering an extra layer of security in the region's occasionally unpredictable traffic conditions.

The bottom line

This X6 M Competition is the ideal choice for the UAE enthusiast who demands supercar performance in a daily-usable SUV body. With its favorable mileage and desirable GCC-spec status, it represents a turn-key opportunity to own BMW's most aggressive crossover.
