Infiniti QX50 LUXE GCC Specs

Highlights

• 268 hp from a 2.0-litre VC-Turbo engine
• 880 litres of boot space (seats upright)
• Panoramic moonroof standard

Summary

This 5-year-old Infiniti QX50 stands out in the GCC market thanks to its exceptionally low mileage for its age, significantly trailing the typical 100,000+ km expected for a 2021 model. The silver exterior is a top-tier resale choice in the region, offering the best resistance to heat and dust visibility while maintaining strong demand. As the LUXE trim, it offers a major jump in daily comfort over the base model, including essential driver aids for Dubai and Riyadh's fast-moving highways. For a GCC buyer, this represents a rare chance to own a modern, tech-heavy luxury crossover that has seen minimal road wear and maintains a premium regional spec.

This Car vs Other 2021 QX50s

At just 56,000 km, this vehicle has been driven roughly 11,200 km per year, which is less than half the average GCC annual usage of 25,000 km. This puts it in the top tier of available 2021 units for mechanical longevity and interior condition. The silver finish is one of the three strongest resale colors in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring it holds its value better than more niche shades.

LUXE vs Lower Trims

The LUXE trim is the sweet spot for GCC buyers, adding a panoramic moonroof and the ProPILOT Assist suite, which includes intelligent cruise control—a must-have for long highway stretches between emirates. Unlike the base PURE trim, you also get remote engine start to pre-cool the cabin during summer and heated seats for the surprisingly brisk desert winter mornings.

QX50 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW X3 and Lexus NX are often cross-shopped, the QX50 leads with its innovative Variable Compression Turbo engine that balances power and efficiency better than traditional four-cylinders. It also offers significantly more cargo volume than the Lexus, providing a massive 880 litres of trunk space that easily accommodates large family grocery runs or weekend gear.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.7 L/100km combined, though you can expect closer to 10.8 L/100km in heavy stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and Infiniti benefits from an extensive authorized service network across the UAE (Arabian Automobiles/Al Masaood) and the wider GCC. This model typically depreciates at roughly 8-10% annually in the local market, benefiting from the high trust placed in GCC-spec Japanese luxury brands.

Performance & Capability

The world-first VC-Turbo engine delivers a robust 268 hp, allowing for confident highway overtaking and a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 7.1 seconds. Its four-wheel-drive system provides added stability on rain-slicked tarmac or gravel tracks leading to weekend campsites. The CVT is tuned for smooth power delivery, making long-distance cruising across the borders exceptionally refined.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a quiet sanctuary with acoustic glass and high-quality insulation designed to block out the harsh GCC summer heat. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate vents and reclining seats, ensuring comfort for the whole family during cross-country drives. The dual-display infotainment system includes standard smartphone integration, keeping you connected without distraction.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on this LUXE trim, featuring Blind Spot Intervention and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection as standard. The ProPILOT Assist system is particularly effective on the E11 or other major highways, helping the car stay centered in its lane and maintaining a safe distance from traffic. Predictive Forward Collision Warning can even sense the deceleration of two cars ahead, providing an extra layer of protection in fast-moving traffic.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, GCC-spec luxury SUV in the region's most practical color, making it an ideal long-term investment for a small family or executive commuter. It offers more technology and interior space than its European rivals for a significantly more accessible price point.
