Summary

This 2021 Infiniti QX80 represents a compelling opportunity for a luxury SUV buyer in the GCC, offering a rare combination of very low mileage and the flagship LUXE SENSORY PROACTIVE trim. With only 28,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the region, ensuring the mechanical components and interior remain in pristine condition. The Gold exterior is a sophisticated choice that effectively masks the fine desert dust common in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, while maintaining strong resale appeal. In a segment dominated by the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Land Cruiser, the QX80 stands out by providing a more refined, leather-laden cabin experience and a quieter highway ride without sacrificing the rugged 4WD architecture beneath. This specific listing is particularly attractive because it includes the ProActive suite of driver aids, which is a must-have for navigating the fast-paced, multi-lane highways of the Emirates. For a buyer seeking a high-status family hauler that balances Japanese reliability with American-scale proportions, this low-mileage GCC-spec unit is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2021 Infiniti QX80s

When compared to other 2021 QX80 models currently available in the GCC used market, this unit is a clear leader in terms of preserved value due to its exceptionally low mileage of just 28,000 km. Most SUVs of this age in the region would typically show between 60,000 and 75,000 km, making this vehicle a 'garage find' that offers many more years of trouble-free ownership before major service milestones. The Gold exterior finish is not only elegant but highly practical for the local climate, as it reflects heat better than darker tones and stays looking clean longer between washes compared to black or navy. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it carries the full assurance of localized cooling systems and a radiator designed specifically for the extreme 45°C+ summer peaks. Buyers will find that the interior leather and plastics show virtually no signs of the typical sun-wear or high-traffic usage often found in higher-mileage examples of this model year. This combination of the highest available trim and minimal road use makes it one of the most desirable 2021 units currently listed.

LUXE SENSORY PROACTIVE vs Lower Trims

Choosing the LUXE SENSORY PROACTIVE trim over the standard Luxe or Premium Select variants completely transforms the ownership experience from a standard SUV to a true luxury flagship. This top-tier specification adds the Hydraulic Body Motion Control system, which significantly reduces body roll during cornering and improves stability during high-speed highway lane changes—a vital feature for a vehicle of this size. Inside, the Sensory package replaces standard leather with quilted semi-aniline leather and adds a charcoal burl wood trim that feels significantly more premium. You also benefit from the ProActive suite, which includes the Smart Rearview Mirror that uses a camera to show what is behind you even if the trunk is packed to the roof with luggage. The climate control system is also upgraded with Plasmacluster technology and a Grape Seed polyphenol filter, which is particularly effective at maintaining air quality during dusty GCC seasons. Finally, the inclusion of the 17-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system provides a level of acoustic clarity that lower trims simply cannot match.

Infiniti QX80 vs Segment Rivals

The Infiniti QX80 occupies a unique position when cross-shopped against its primary rivals, the Lexus LX 570 and the Cadillac Escalade. While the Lexus is famed for its off-road pedigree, the QX80 offers a more modern and spacious interior layout for eight passengers and a more powerful 400 hp V8 engine as standard. Compared to the Cadillac Escalade, the QX80 is often favored by GCC buyers for its superior long-term reliability and the lower cost of specialized parts, thanks to its shared architecture with the legendary Nissan Patrol. It also features a massive 100-liter fuel tank, which gives it a significant range advantage over many European luxury SUVs, making it the preferred choice for cross-country drives from Dubai to Muscat or Riyadh. The QX80 also boasts a tighter turning radius than many of its American competitors, making it surprisingly manageable in the tighter parking structures of modern GCC malls. This blend of Japanese engineering and full-sized luxury gives it a balanced profile that rivals struggle to replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a GCC-spec Infiniti QX80 is a predictable experience thanks to the widespread availability of authorized service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. The 5.6L V8 is a proven engine that requires routine oil changes every 10,000 km, with major services typically occurring at the 40,000 km and 80,000 km marks, making this 28,000 km unit very close to its next minor check-up. Fuel consumption averages around 12–14 L/100km on the highway, which is competitive for a heavy, naturally aspirated V8 SUV, though city traffic will naturally increase these figures. In terms of resale, the QX80 is a strong performer in the GCC, typically depreciating at a slower rate than German luxury SUVs, losing approximately 10-12% of its value annually compared to the 15-18% seen in European equivalents. This specific vehicle's low mileage and GCC-spec status ensure it will remain a highly liquid asset should you choose to sell it in three to five years. Parts availability is excellent, as many mechanical components are shared with other high-volume Nissan-Infiniti products, ensuring that even out-of-warranty repairs are affordable and fast.

Performance & Capability

At the heart of the QX80 is a 5.6-liter V8 engine producing a robust 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, which provides effortless acceleration even when the vehicle is fully loaded with eight passengers. This power is managed by a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission and a sophisticated All Wheel Drive system that can be shifted into 4-Low for genuine off-road capability. On the highway, the QX80 is a master of overtaking, reaching 100 km/h in approximately 7.3 seconds—a respectable figure for a vehicle weighing nearly 2.8 tons. Its towing capacity is equally impressive, rated at up to 3,850 kg, making it ideal for hauling boats or trailers for weekend trips to the coast. The ground clearance of 234 mm ensures that you can navigate rocky terrain or deep sand with confidence, while the specialized suspension absorbs the imperfections of gravel roads with ease. Whether you are cruising at 140 km/h on the E11 or exploring the dunes of the Empty Quarter, the QX80 provides a sense of indestructible power.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the LUXE SENSORY PROACTIVE trim is designed to be a sanctuary from the harsh GCC environment, featuring a dual-screen infotainment system and an exceptionally powerful tri-zone climate control system. The 8-seat configuration is highly versatile, with the third row offering enough room for adults on shorter trips and children on long journeys, a feat many mid-sized SUVs cannot achieve. Ventilated front seats are a vital inclusion for the summer months, providing immediate relief from the heat, while the extensive use of sound-deadening materials ensures the cabin remains whisper-quiet even at highway speeds. Passengers in the second row benefit from their own climate controls and ample legroom, making this an ideal vehicle for those who prefer to be driven. The 17-speaker Bose audio system is tuned specifically for this cabin's dimensions, providing an immersive 360-degree sound experience for all three rows. With all seats up, the boot space remains functional, but folding the power-operated third row flat reveals a massive cargo area capable of swallowing several large suitcases or camping gear.

Safety

Safety in the QX80 is comprehensive, centered around the Infiniti Safety Shield technology which monitors every angle of the vehicle. Standard on this ProActive trim are features like Predictive Forward Collision Warning, which can actually sense the speed and distance of the vehicle two cars ahead, giving you extra reaction time during sudden highway slowdowns. The Blind Spot Intervention and Lane Departure Prevention systems are particularly useful for the wide, multi-lane roads of the GCC, actively helping the driver steer back into the lane if a hazard is detected. For parking, the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection provides a 360-degree bird's-eye view, making it much safer to maneuver this large SUV in crowded school drop-off zones or tight residential streets. Furthermore, the robust body-on-frame construction provides a physical layer of protection that is highly valued by families in the region. The inclusion of Intelligent Cruise Control also reduces driver fatigue significantly during long-distance trips between emirates.

The bottom line

This 2021 Infiniti QX80 is the perfect match for a large family that prioritizes luxury and reliability, offering a nearly new driving experience at a pre-owned price point. Its exceptionally low mileage and top-tier ProActive specification make it one of the most logically sound purchases in the current GCC full-size SUV market.
