Summary

This 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk represents a rare performance opportunity, offering supercar-level acceleration in a versatile family SUV format. With a vehicle age of 5 years and 80,000 km, it has been driven significantly less than the 100,000–125,000 km typically expected for this age in the GCC, preserving its mechanical life for the next owner. The Trackhawk is widely considered the ultimate iteration of the WK2 generation, standing out from rivals with its American muscle heritage and specialized Quadra-Trac all-wheel-drive system. Finished in Blue, a vibrant yet stable resale choice, it remains one of the most practical ways to access Hellcat-derived power in the region. For a GCC buyer, the standard heavy-duty cooling system and Brembo braking performance provide essential peace of mind during high-temperature highway runs.

This Car vs Other 2021 Grand Cherokees

At 80,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is below the regional average of 20,000–25,000 km per year, making it a well-preserved example of the final model year for this generation. While many 2021 models in the UAE have surpassed the 100,000 km mark due to inter-emirate commuting, this Trackhawk offers a lower-wear advantage. The Blue exterior is a distinctive alternative to the common white and silver, maintaining strong appeal in the local enthusiast market.

Trackhawk vs Lower Trims

The Trackhawk is a significant mechanical departure from the SRT, replacing the 6.4L naturally aspirated V8 with the supercharged 6.2L Hellcat engine and a reinforced 8-speed transmission. It adds high-performance Brembo brakes with yellow calipers, 20-inch titanium-finish wheels, and a dedicated Track mode that optimizes the Bilstein adaptive dampers. Inside, it receives Laguna leather performance seats and carbon fiber interior accents that are unavailable on lower Grand Cherokee trims.

Grand Cherokee vs Segment Rivals

The Trackhawk competes directly with the BMW X5 M and the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63, offering a more raw, muscle-car character and a higher standard towing capacity of 3,265 kg. While European rivals focus on complex electronic driver aids, the Jeep excels with its massive torque and a cooling system built to handle the heat of the Mojave desert, which translates perfectly to GCC summer conditions. Its straightforward mechanical layout also ensures wider parts availability across the UAE and Saudi Arabia compared to more niche performance SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the supercharged V8 typically averages 17.7 L/100km combined, though GCC stop-start traffic can see city figures rise above 21 L/100km. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km or 6 months in the GCC to protect the supercharger and high-performance fluids from heat degradation. As the final year of the high-displacement WK2 platform, the Trackhawk has shown exceptional value retention in the UAE, often outperforming its European counterparts in the used market due to its cult status among enthusiasts.

Performance & Capability

The Trackhawk is capable of a 3.7-second 0–100 km/h sprint, delivering immediate overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways like the E11. Its Quadra-Trac active on-demand four-wheel-drive system and electronic limited-slip rear differential ensure maximum grip on both tarmac and light sand surfaces. With multiple drive modes including Tow, Snow, and Track, the vehicle adapts its torque split and suspension stiffness to suit everything from school runs to weekend trips across the border.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its track focus, the cabin is designed for GCC family comfort with ventilated front seats and a powerful dual-zone climate control system that quickly neutralizes extreme exterior heat. The 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system provides exceptional clarity, while acoustic windshield glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise during long desert drives. The 5-seat layout offers generous legroom and a large boot, ensuring it remains a practical daily driver for families.

Safety

Standard safety tech includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Advanced Brake Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are vital for navigating busy multi-lane highway traffic. It also features Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning, providing a comprehensive ADAS suite that rivals premium European SUVs. The heavy-duty Brembo braking system ensures consistent, fade-resistant stopping power, an essential safety factor when managing the vehicle's 707 horsepower in local driving conditions.

The bottom line

This 2021 Trackhawk is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the ultimate American performance SUV in its final, most refined production year. With below-average mileage and a high-spec interior, it offers a level of visceral power and regional reliability that few other vehicles in the GCC can match.
