Summary

This specific 2021 Mercedes Benz GLE 63 AMG S represents a rare opportunity for GCC buyers seeking an ultra-high-performance SUV with extremely low mileage. With only 6,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has essentially been preserved in its break-in phase, offering a mechanical freshness that is hard to find in the used market. The S trim defines the peak of the GLE evolution, providing 615 hp and a level of luxury that rivals far more expensive boutique brands. Finished in Grey, the exterior offers a sophisticated aesthetic that maintains its visual appeal and resale value well in the UAE's frequent sunlight. While this is an American spec vehicle, its blistering performance and modern technology suite make it a top contender for those who prioritize raw power and executive comfort. For the discerning buyer in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, this listing provides a gateway into the elite AMG tier without the steep depreciation associated with a brand-new showroom purchase.

This Car vs Other 2021 GLE 63 AMGs

When comparing this specific unit to other 2021 models currently available in the GCC, the mileage is the primary differentiator. Average annual driving in the UAE typically sees SUVs covering between 20,000 and 25,000 km, meaning a standard three-year-old vehicle would normally reflect over 60,000 km. At just 6,000 km, this unit is remarkably below the market average, suggesting it has been used sparingly as a secondary or weekend vehicle. The Grey exterior is a highly sensible choice for the region, offering a neutral yet aggressive look that hides light desert dust better than darker shades while retaining strong demand in the secondary market. As an American spec model, buyers should note the instrument cluster and navigation settings, but the mechanical hardware remains the globally renowned 4.0L V8 powertrain. This low-usage profile ensures that the interior materials—which often show wear in the intense GCC heat—remain in pristine condition.

S vs Lower Trims

Choosing the S trim over the standard GLE 63 or the GLE 53 completely transforms the driving experience for the GCC owner. The S model is the only one to unlock the full 615 horsepower potential of the hand-built V8, providing that extra surge needed for confident overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. Beyond performance, the S trim brings significant interior upgrades including the Burmester surround sound system and enhanced MBUX infotainment features that are often optional on lower variants. You also gain active engine mounts and an electronic rear-axle limited-slip differential, technology that provides superior stability during high-speed cornering or when navigating sandy patches on secondary roads. The cabin is further elevated with Nappa leather upholstery and AMG-specific steering wheel controls that allow for instant adjustments to the exhaust and suspension settings. For the GCC buyer, the S trim is not just a badge; it is the comprehensive package of performance and prestige that holds its value best among enthusiasts.

GLE 63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The Mercedes Benz GLE 63 AMG S competes directly with the BMW X5 M Competition and the Audi RS Q8, two heavyweights in the high-performance SUV segment. Where this Mercedes leads is in its versatile balance between aggressive track-honed capability and daily luxury. Its 4.0L Biturbo V8 is celebrated for having a more visceral and soulful exhaust note than the Audi, a trait highly prized by enthusiast drivers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The air suspension system in the GLE is often regarded as more compliant over city speed bumps and road imperfections than the stiffer setup found in the X5 M, making it a better dual-purpose vehicle for those who commute between Emirates. Additionally, the MBUX interface is widely considered the most intuitive and visually impressive system in the class, offering superior voice commands that are useful for hands-free operation during long desert drives. With a large 85-liter fuel tank, it also offers a competitive cruising range for those cross-country trips beyond the city limits.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 615 hp V8 reflects its performance pedigree, averaging roughly 15-18 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions. While city traffic in heavy urban centers like Riyadh or Dubai will see higher consumption, the highway efficiency at cruising speeds is surprisingly respectable for an engine of this size. As this is an American spec vehicle, prospective owners should confirm service compatibility with authorized Mercedes-Benz workshops, although independent specialist centers across the UAE are well-equipped to handle the M177 engine platform. Parts for the GLE are widely available throughout the region due to the model's popularity, which helps keep maintenance turnaround times low. In terms of resale, the S trim naturally depreciates at a slightly higher rate than entry-level models, but the exceptionally low mileage on this specific unit acts as a significant value buffer. Providing a consistent service history and maintaining the vehicle's interior will ensure it remains a highly liquid asset in the thriving GCC pre-owned luxury market.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is a hand-assembled 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo engine that produces a staggering 615 hp. This enables the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, placing it in the upper echelon of automotive performance. The 9-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission provides lightning-fast gear changes, while the 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system features fully variable torque distribution for maximum traction. On the long, straight highways common in the GCC, the GLE 63 AMG S offers effortless acceleration and a top speed that is electronically capped at 280 km/h with the AMG Driver's Package. The active roll stabilization system ensures the vehicle stays flat during high-speed maneuvers, providing a level of confidence usually reserved for low-slung sports cars. Despite its performance focus, the air suspension can be raised to provide decent ground clearance, allowing for light trail use or navigating the occasional gravel road during weekend excursions to the mountains or desert fringes.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is a sanctuary designed to combat the intense GCC summer heat. The multi-zone climate control system is exceptionally powerful, coupled with ventilated front seats that are a necessity for comfortable driving from May through September. The five-seat layout provides ample legroom for all passengers, making it a viable family vehicle for executive road trips. The Burmester audio system delivers concert-quality sound, perfectly insulated from exterior wind and road noise thanks to the vehicle's high-grade acoustic dampening. Panoramic glass adds an airy feel to the cabin, though the high-quality sunblinds effectively block out the harsh midday sun. The MBUX infotainment system, featuring dual 12.3-inch screens, provides the driver with a futuristic interface that includes augmented reality for navigation, making it easier to find turn-offs in complex junctions. Storage is generous, with a large boot space that easily accommodates luggage for a family weekend at a coastal resort.

Safety

Safety is paramount in the GLE 63 AMG S, which comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The adaptive cruise control is particularly beneficial for long-distance driving across the Emirates, maintaining a safe gap in fast-moving highway traffic. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist provide vital support on multi-lane roads where high-speed lane changes are frequent. The vehicle features a 360-degree camera system that makes parking this large SUV in tight mall spaces effortless and safe. Active brake assist can detect both vehicles and pedestrians, providing an extra layer of protection in busy urban environments like Downtown Dubai. Mercedes-Benz's Pre-Safe system is also standard, which can prepare the cabin for an imminent collision by tightening seatbelts and closing windows. For the family-oriented buyer, the inclusion of multiple ISOFIX points and a rigid safety cell ensures peace of mind on every journey.

The bottom line

This 2021 Mercedes Benz GLE 63 AMG S is the perfect choice for a buyer who wants supercar performance in a versatile SUV body without waiting for a new delivery. Its ultra-low mileage and high equipment level make it one of the most compelling performance listings currently available in the GCC market.
