Tesla Model 3 PERFORMANCE

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds
• 567 km electric range (WLTP)
• 250 kW peak DC charging standard

Summary

This 2021 Model 3 Performance represents a high-value entry into the electric segment, combining supercar-level acceleration with a practical sedan body. As a 5-year-old vehicle in the GCC market, it benefits from the 2021 refresh which introduced the essential heat pump for improved cooling efficiency in extreme summer heat. The Performance trim stands apart from standard models with its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and lowered sport suspension, offering significantly sharper handling. Black is a consistently strong resale color in the UAE, ensuring it remains attractive for future buyers. For any GCC owner, the access to Tesla's reliable Supercharger network across the Emirates and into neighboring markets remains the primary advantage over other luxury EVs.

This Car vs Other 2021 Model 3s

With 100,000 km over 5 years, this vehicle sits exactly at the average expected mileage for a GCC commuter, typically logging 20,000 km annually on major highways like the E11. Unlike older 2021 models, this unit features the refreshed interior with the updated center console and standard wireless charging. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, holding its value better than more niche colors.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The Performance trim upgrades the Long Range model with a more powerful dual-motor setup and a Track Mode for customizable handling. It features exclusive 20-inch Uberturbine wheels, uprated brakes, and a carbon fiber spoiler to manage high-speed stability. Inside, you get the full premium audio system with 14 speakers and a subwoofer, which is often a key differentiator for luxury buyers in the GCC.

Model 3 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the BMW i4 or Polestar 2, the Model 3 Performance offers a more robust charging infrastructure throughout the GCC via Tesla's proprietary Superchargers. It leads the segment in software integration, providing over-the-air updates that keep the infotainment and safety systems current. The 567 km WLTP range makes it one of the most capable EVs for cross-emirate travel, such as the Abu Dhabi to Dubai commute.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world efficiency in GCC stop-start traffic is excellent, while the standard heat pump helps maintain battery health during the 45 degree Celsius summers. Service intervals are minimal compared to petrol sedans, typically involving only cabin filters and brake fluid checks every two years. Tesla's authorized service centers are well-established in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, with a growing presence in Riyadh and Jeddah. The Model 3 typically retains about 60% of its value after three years in the GCC, outperforming many European luxury rivals.

Performance & Capability

The defining metric is the 3.3-second 0-100 km/h sprint, enabled by a 490 hp dual-motor system that provides instant torque for effortless highway overtaking. The all-wheel-drive system ensures maximum traction even on sand-swept asphalt or during rare heavy rain. With a top speed of 261 km/h, it offers performance capabilities that rival high-end European sports sedans while remaining a silent and refined daily driver.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the high-temperature climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone AC system that can be pre-conditioned via the mobile app before you enter. All five seats are heated, and the premium interior includes high-grade vegan leather and a massive 15-inch central display. The acoustic glass, introduced in this model year, significantly reduces wind noise during long-distance desert highway drives.

Safety

Safety is anchored by the Autopilot suite, which includes collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, and emergency braking—vital tools for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways in the UAE. The car's low center of gravity, due to the floor-mounted battery, provides exceptional rollover resistance. Eight airbags and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating ensure it remains one of the safest vehicles on the road for family use.

The bottom line

This is a perfect opportunity for a tech-focused professional looking for maximum performance and the peace of mind that comes with a verified GCC-spec Tesla and a mature local service network.
