Summary

This 2021 model represents the final production year of the iconic 200 Series, making it a highly significant purchase for fans of the legendary 5.7L V8 powertrain. The VXR trim provides the most comprehensive feature set available, offering a major luxury upgrade over the standard GXR with advanced safety tech and premium materials. Silver is widely considered one of the best resale colors in the UAE and wider GCC, effectively hiding desert dust while maintaining its value exceptionally well. With mileage that is remarkably low for a vehicle typically used for long-distance desert commuting, this example offers a rare level of mechanical freshness. For the local buyer, the combination of unmatched reliability and a massive fuel tank makes this the definitive choice for cross-border regional travel.

This Car vs Other 2021 Land Cruisers

With only 120 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits in a different category compared to typical 2021 models, which often average 60,000 to 80,000 km in the GCC market. The silver exterior is a strategic choice for the region, offering the highest thermal efficiency and the strongest resale demand alongside white. Finding a final-year 200 Series with delivery-level mileage is a significant advantage for long-term collectors and daily drivers alike.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim is the flagship of the range, adding essential GCC luxury features like ventilated front seats and a premium 14-speaker JBL audio system that aren't standard on the GXR. It also introduces the full driver assistance suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control and a 360-degree camera system, which are vital for safety on high-speed UAE highways. Unlike lower trims, the VXR features the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) for superior stability both on-road and in the dunes.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol offers more modern interior screens, the Land Cruiser leads the segment in long-term durability and has a significantly more robust resale market in the GCC. Its 138-liter dual fuel tank capacity provides a much longer cruising range for desert expeditions than the Chevrolet Tahoe. The 5.7L V8 is specifically favored by regional purists for its ability to handle extreme heat and low-quality fuel in remote areas better than its turbocharged rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The Land Cruiser holds the highest value retention in the Middle East, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than European competitors. Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.7L V8 averages around 15.7 L/100km, though highway cruising at 100 km/h can improve this significantly. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals, supported by the most extensive authorized service network spanning from the UAE to Saudi Arabia.

Performance & Capability

The naturally aspirated 5.7L engine delivers a reliable 362 hp and 530 Nm of torque, providing smooth power delivery for overtaking on the E11 or climbing tall dunes. It features a genuine low-range transfer case and Crawl Control, allowing it to navigate soft sand that would stop most luxury crossovers. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it is perfectly suited for hauling heavy boats or trailers across the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The eight-seat layout is designed for large families, featuring a powerful four-zone climate control system specifically engineered to cool the cabin rapidly even in 50°C summer heat. Acoustic glass and thick insulation keep the interior quiet during long highway stretches between cities. Premium leather upholstery and wood-grain accents provide a high-end feel, complemented by a factory-fitted cool box in the center console for chilled beverages.

Safety

The VXR comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including 10 airbags and Toyota Safety Sense, which features Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Mitigation. The Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are particularly useful in fast-moving Dubai traffic. Multi-Terrain ABS and Stability Control are calibrated for low-grip surfaces, ensuring maximum safety whether on wet tarmac or shifting desert sands.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a virtually new, final-year 200 Series Land Cruiser with the legendary 5.7L V8 engine, offering the perfect balance of luxury and bulletproof GCC reliability.
