Summary

This 2022 Audi RS3 Sportback is a standout performance buy in the GCC, offering the iconic five-cylinder soundtrack in a modern, tech-forward package. The grey exterior is a resilient choice for the local market, maintaining strong aesthetic appeal and resale demand across the Emirates. With its sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and the revolutionary RS Torque Splitter, it provides immense confidence during high-speed highway commutes and spirited weekend drives. While the mileage reflects active use, the vehicle's robust German engineering is well-suited for the long-distance driving typical of the region. This is a versatile daily driver that effortlessly bridges the gap between a practical hatchback and a genuine supercar-slaying performer.

This Car vs Other 2022 RS3s

At 75,550 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the average GCC weekend toy but aligns with the higher annual usage typical of daily-driven performance cars in the UAE. The grey exterior is a highly desirable, high-resale color in the local market, offering better heat management and maintenance than darker shades. For a buyer looking for a mechanically sound, GCC-spec example that has already seen its initial depreciation, this listing represents a balanced entry point into current-generation RS ownership.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the flagship of the A3 range, the RS3 includes significant hardware upgrades over the S3, most notably the 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine and the RS Torque Splitter for active rear-axle torque vectoring. Inside, you get the RS-specific virtual cockpit with performance displays and high-grade sports seating that GCC buyers expect in this segment. This trim ensures you have the maximum performance capability and the most aggressive styling available from the factory.

RS3 vs Segment Rivals

The RS3 leads the Mercedes-AMG A45 S and BMW M2 in daily liveability and engine character, largely due to its unique five-cylinder firing order and compliant damping. Its All Wheel Drive system provides superior traction on sand-dusted desert highways compared to the rear-drive BMW. Additionally, the interior ergonomics and MMI infotainment system are often cited as more intuitive for long cross-border drives between GCC cities.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages between 8.8 and 9.4 L/100km, though expect higher figures in heavy Dubai or Riyadh stop-start traffic where the 2.5L turbo is most active. Audi's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and expert technicians are always accessible. As a GCC-spec model, it retains a value premium over imported equivalents and historically depreciates slower than its less specialized hatchback rivals due to its enthusiast following.

Performance & Capability

The headline 3.8-second 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved via a seamless Launch Control system, making it one of the quickest accelerating cars in its class. On the highway, the 500 Nm of torque provides effortless overtaking power, while the RS-specific drive modes allow you to stiffen the chassis for track days at the Dubai Autodrome. The All Wheel Drive system is expertly tuned to handle the high temperatures and occasionally slick road surfaces found in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features five seats with high-bolstered front buckets that remain comfortable during long drives to Abu Dhabi or Fujairah. Audi’s climate control system is notoriously powerful, essential for maintaining cabin temperatures during the peak GCC summer months. Acoustic glazing and premium materials ensure the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary, effectively shielding occupants from road noise and external heat.

Safety

This RS3 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Audi Pre-Sense, lane departure warnings, and multiple airbags. The All Wheel Drive system and massive performance brakes offer an extra layer of active safety, providing shorter stopping distances and stability during sudden maneuvers on fast-moving highways. Standard 360-degree sensors assist with parking in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

For the GCC enthusiast who needs a daily-capable hatchback with supercar performance, this RS3 is a well-maintained, regional-spec opportunity that delivers the best of Audi Sport's engineering.
