Summary

This 4-year-old Ford Taurus Trend delivers a sophisticated combination of American-engineered comfort and turbocharged efficiency, making it one of the most practical executive sedans in the GCC. With its unique Bronze exterior and GCC-specific cooling systems, it offers a distinct alternative to more common silver or white rivals while maintaining solid resale appeal. The 2.0L EcoBoost engine provides effortless highway power, paired with a spacious cabin designed to isolate passengers from the region's heat. This specific listing is a strong buy for those seeking the luxury of a full-size sedan with the manageable running costs of a four-cylinder. For a GCC owner, the extensive service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures that maintenance is straightforward and parts are readily available.

This Car vs Other 2022 Taurus

With 104,298 km on the odometer, this Taurus has been driven approximately 26,000 km per year, which aligns perfectly with the typical high-mileage highway driving patterns seen across the GCC. The Bronze exterior is a sophisticated, less common choice that holds up well against desert dust while offering a premium look that differentiates it from fleet-heavy white models. This usage suggests the car is mechanically 'settled' and ideally suited for continued long-distance commuting between emirates.

TREND vs Lower Trims

The Trend trim is the 'sweet spot' for GCC buyers, adding essential comfort features over the base Ambiente model. It includes a power-adjustable driver’s seat and dual-zone automatic climate control, which is vital for maintaining cabin comfort during the extreme summer months. Additionally, you get a leather-wrapped steering wheel and 18-inch alloy wheels, providing a more premium feel and better road presence than the entry-level configurations.

Taurus vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima, the Taurus leads with its superior 569-litre boot capacity and a more substantial road presence typical of the full-size sedan class. Its 2.0L EcoBoost engine offers more torque (390 Nm) for easier highway overtaking compared to the naturally aspirated four-cylinders found in base rivals. The Taurus is also widely recognized in the region for having one of the most robust air conditioning systems in its class, specifically tested for 50°C+ ambient temperatures.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 6.5 to 7.5 L/100km on open highways, making it efficient for cross-border trips, while city traffic may see figures closer to 10 L/100km. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from Ford’s extensive authorized service network with major hubs like Al Tayer in the UAE and Al Jazirah in Saudi Arabia. The Taurus remains a top-selling nameplate in the region, which supports better value retention than many European rivals in the same size category, typically depreciating at a manageable 12-15% annually.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L EcoBoost engine delivers a punchy 240 horsepower, allowing the Taurus to reach 100 km/h in approximately 7.6 seconds. This performance is ideal for the fast-moving 140 km/h highway traffic common in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, providing confidence during merges and overtakes. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring that long-distance drives remain relaxed and refined even at higher cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Taurus Trend offers a massive 13.2-inch touchscreen featuring SYNC 4 technology, which is one of the largest and most intuitive in its segment. The cabin is exceptionally spacious, providing genuine executive-level legroom for rear passengers, making it suitable for both family duties and professional transport. High-quality insulation and acoustic glass help keep the interior quiet and cool, a significant advantage when driving through noisy urban environments or across wind-swept desert highways.

Safety

This Taurus Trend comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags and rear parking sensors with a camera to assist in tight city spaces. Key driver aids like Cruise Control and Electronic Stability Control are standard, providing essential assistance during long highway stretches. The inclusion of Tire Pressure Monitoring is particularly valuable in the GCC, where fluctuating road temperatures can frequently impact tire performance.

The bottom line

For the executive or family buyer who values cabin tech and highway comfort above all else, this well-maintained GCC-spec Taurus Trend is a highly sensible opportunity in today's market.
