Summary

This 2022 LUXE trim represents the sweet spot for the modern executive sedan, combining Infiniti’s potent twin-turbo V6 with high-end cabin refinements. In the GCC market, black-on-black configurations maintain strong desirability and resale value, especially for a vehicle that balances daily city commuting with effortless highway cruising. While its mileage is typical for a three-year-old GCC-spec commuter, the car stands out for its robust engine character compared to four-cylinder rivals in the segment. For any local buyer, the Infiniti service network’s strength across the UAE and wider region provides reliable long-term peace of mind.

This Car vs Other 2022 Q50s

With 126,000 km, this vehicle reflects typical executive usage in the UAE, where high-speed highway commuting between emirates is standard. Compared to global averages, this mileage is expected for a three-year-old GCC-spec sedan and often signals a life spent at stable highway temperatures rather than stop-start city wear. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the local market, ensuring it remains highly liquid compared to niche colors.

LUXE vs Lower Trims

The LUXE trim is a significant step up from the base models, most notably introducing the 16-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system and genuine leather-appointed seating. It also standardizes the power sliding moonroof and wireless Apple CarPlay, features that GCC buyers prioritize for cabin comfort and connectivity. Unlike lower tiers, the LUXE includes the full suite of Predictive Forward Collision Warning and the 360-degree Around View Monitor as standard.

Q50 vs Segment Rivals

The Q50 leads rivals like the BMW 330i and Lexus IS300 by offering a standard 300 hp twin-turbo V6 where many competitors utilize smaller four-cylinder engines. Its 76-litre fuel tank is one of the largest in its class, providing superior range for long-distance drives across the GCC. Additionally, the Infiniti’s dual-screen infotainment offers a unique layout that separates navigation and media functions more effectively than single-screen setups.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages 10.8 L/100km, which is efficient for a V6 during highway runs but rises in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Infiniti enjoys an extensive authorized service network through Arabian Automobiles and Al Masaood, ensuring parts are readily available across the UAE. While European luxury sedans often see sharper depreciation, the Q50 maintains competitive value retention, typically depreciating around 12% annually in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 300 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds, providing plenty of punch for overtaking on fast-moving highways like E11. Rear-wheel drive dynamics paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission offer a balanced, sporty feel without sacrificing the comfort needed for daily commuting. The engine’s twin-turbo setup ensures torque is available from as low as 1,600 RPM, making it feel highly responsive in city traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for the GCC climate, the LUXE cabin features dual-zone automatic temperature control with powerful air conditioning and rear passenger vents. The 16-speaker Bose system provides immersive audio quality that masks road noise during long desert drives. High-quality leather seating and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat ensure ergonomic comfort, while acoustic glass helps maintain a quiet environment even at highway speeds.

Safety

The 2022 LUXE is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Predictive Forward Collision Warning, which monitors two cars ahead, and Forward Emergency Braking. For highway safety, it features Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, both essential for multi-lane GCC roads. The 360-degree Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection makes parking in tight urban spaces significantly easier and safer.

The bottom line

Perfect for the professional seeking V6 performance and premium audio, this GCC-spec LUXE offers a refined ownership experience with the reliability of a vast local service network.
