Summary

This 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE represents the absolute pinnacle of the 4-Door Coupé range, combining a hand-built V8 with Formula 1-inspired hybrid technology. With its striking Green exterior and low mileage for the GCC market, this European-spec example offers a unique opportunity to own the most powerful series-production AMG ever made. It stands apart from standard performance sedans by offering hypercar-level acceleration without sacrificing the refinement expected of a four-seat executive tourer. For a buyer in the region, this car provides an unmatched blend of daily usability and explosive highway performance, making it a standout choice for those who demand exclusivity.

This Car vs Other 2022 AMG GTs

With just over 22,000 km, this GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for the GCC. While standard GT models are common, the Green finish is a bold, high-visibility choice that resonates well with the region's preference for unique, high-spec AMGs. Being a 2022 model, it features the updated MBUX infotainment and the most advanced hybrid battery cooling systems available for this generation.

63 S E PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

This flagship trim adds a rear-mounted 150kW electric motor and a 6.1kWh high-performance battery, nearly doubling the torque of the standard GT 63 S to a staggering 1,470 Nm. It also comes standard with AMG Ceramic High-Performance Composite brakes and AMG Active Ride Control with active roll stabilization, features that are often costly options on lower models. The E PERFORMANCE also benefits from exclusive hybrid drive modes, including an 'Electric' mode for silent, emission-free city driving.

AMG GT vs Segment Rivals

The GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE leads rivals like the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and BMW M8 Gran Coupe in outright power, offering 843 hp compared to the Porsche's 700 hp. Its Formula 1-derived battery technology allows for much faster energy deployment and recuperation, providing more consistent performance during spirited drives. Furthermore, the AMG's 'Hot V' engine configuration ensures virtually lag-free response, giving it a sharper edge in high-speed highway overtaking.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is remarkably efficient for this power class, averaging approximately 7.9 L/100km when utilizing the hybrid system effectively in GCC traffic. As a high-performance European-spec model, it requires premium 98 RON fuel to maintain peak output and protect the hand-built V8. While European luxury models typically see 12-18% annual depreciation, the E PERFORMANCE trim's status as the range-topping 'Halo' car helps it retain value better than standard GT 43 or 53 models. Authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC.

Performance & Capability

The headline 2.9-second 0-100 km/h time is supported by the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, which ensures maximum traction on both hot tarmac and sandy surfaces. The car features a two-speed gearbox on the rear electric motor, providing a massive boost of torque at low speeds and sustained power at high velocities. With a top speed of 316 km/h, it is one of the fastest four-door vehicles in the world, perfectly suited for long-distance cruising across the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the 4-seat configuration features individual rear bucket seats and a dedicated rear console, creating a true executive environment. The cabin is equipped with ventilated front seats and multi-zone climate control, essential for maintaining comfort during the extreme GCC summer months. Acoustic glass and high-density insulation significantly reduce road noise, ensuring the Burmester surround sound system delivers crystal-clear audio even at highway speeds.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, which is invaluable for long desert highway drives. The car also features 360-degree cameras, Active Blind Spot Assist, and Pre-Safe Plus, which uses sensors to prepare the cabin for a rear-end collision. The high-performance ceramic brakes provide fade-resistant stopping power, a critical safety factor when managing the car's 2.4-ton kerb weight at high speeds.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to acquire AMG's most powerful production hybrid in a head-turning color, offering a perfect balance of low mileage and top-tier performance for the discerning GCC collector.
