Summary

This 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 AMG is a standout choice in the GCC used market, offering a mileage that is significantly below the regional average for a four-year-old vehicle. Finished in black, one of the most desirable colors for resale in the UAE, this 4MATIC all-wheel-drive sedan combines daily efficiency with the sharper aesthetic of the AMG styling package. The CLA-Class remains a segment favorite for its sleek four-door coupe silhouette that offers more presence than traditional compact sedans. For GCC buyers, the balance of a fuel-efficient 2.0L turbocharged engine and a premium cabin makes it an ideal executive commuter for long highway stretches between emirates.

This Car vs Other 2022 CLA250s

With only 36,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 9,000 km per year, which is less than half of the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. The black exterior is a high-demand color in local markets, ensuring faster liquidity and stronger value retention compared to niche shades. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the region's climate and remains compatible with all local authorized service contracts.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim adds significant visual and tactile upgrades over the standard Progressive line, including more aggressive front and rear bumpers, a distinct chrome-pinned grille, and 18-inch AMG twin-spoke wheels. Inside, the trim introduces sport-contoured seats and a flat-bottom performance steering wheel, providing a more focused driving environment that GCC buyers highly value. Unlike base models, this AMG-styled variant also benefits from lowered comfort-tuned suspension for a more planted highway feel.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

The CLA250 leads rivals like the Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe with its more dramatic 'coupe' styling and the highly intuitive MBUX infotainment system featuring dual 10.25-inch screens. Its 460-litre boot capacity is particularly generous for the sub-compact luxury class, offering better practicality for airport runs or weekend trips. Additionally, the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides superior stability on rain-slicked highways or sandy coastal roads compared to front-wheel-drive competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is efficient for the region, averaging 6.7 L/100km, which translates to a high highway range suitable for long-distance GCC travel. Service intervals typically follow the Mercedes-Benz A/B schedule every 15,000 to 20,000 km, with a widespread network of authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While European luxury sedans generally depreciate by 12–18% annually in the GCC, the CLA's high demand among young professionals helps it maintain a stronger position on the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 221 hp 2.0L turbocharged engine, this sedan reaches 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power for fast-moving UAE highways. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers seamless shifts, while the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system ensures maximum traction during the rare but heavy GCC rain showers. Multiple drive modes, including Sport and Eco, allow the driver to prioritize performance or fuel savings depending on city traffic or open road conditions.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the high temperatures of the Middle East, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and high-quality insulation from road noise and heat. The 64-color ambient lighting system allows for personalized night-time driving, while the turbine-style air vents provide focused cooling for all five passengers. Technology is a highlight, with the MBUX system offering advanced voice control and smartphone integration as standard.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring active brake assist, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist, which are essential for navigating multi-lane highway traffic in major GCC cities. The vehicle earned a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, supported by a suite of seven airbags and a rigid passenger cell. Standard LED high-performance headlamps provide exceptional visibility during long desert drives at night.

The bottom line

This low-mileage CLA250 AMG is the perfect opportunity for a buyer seeking a stylish, GCC-ready executive sedan that balances German prestige with manageable running costs.
