Summary

This Nissan Kicks SV is a standout choice for urban commuters and small families in the GCC, offering a perfect balance of modern tech and remarkable fuel efficiency. With just 38,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km annual average for the region, ensuring plenty of life remains in its reliable 1.6L powertrain. The Black exterior is a perennial favorite in the local market, maintaining strong resale appeal and a professional aesthetic. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the extreme local climate, featuring a cooling system designed to handle the summer heat without compromise. For a buyer seeking a hassle-free, tech-forward crossover that won't break the bank at the petrol pump, this Kicks is one of the most sensible opportunities currently available.

This Car vs Other 2022 Kicks

With only 38,000 km on the odometer, this Kicks has covered roughly half the distance of an average two-year-old vehicle in the UAE. This lower-than-average mileage makes it a premium choice for buyers prioritizing mechanical longevity. The Black paint remains one of the top three most requested colors in the GCC used market, ensuring it stays easy to sell when you are ready to upgrade.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is a significant upgrade over the base S, adding essential GCC features like 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and silver roof rails for a more premium look. Inside, you benefit from a larger 8-inch NissanConnect touchscreen and the Advanced Drive-Assist display. Most importantly for highway safety, the SV includes Intelligent Cruise Control and a Remote Engine Start system, allowing you to cool the cabin before you even step inside.

Kicks vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Kia Stonic or Toyota Raize, the Kicks offers a substantially larger boot capacity of 716 litres with the seats in place, making it the practical leader for grocery runs or airport trips. It also features a more comprehensive standard safety suite than many rivals, including class-exclusive Rear Automatic Braking. While competitors might focus on smaller turbocharged engines, the Kicks' naturally aspirated 1.6L is favored in the GCC for its long-term durability and ease of maintenance.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a core strength, with a combined rating of 7.2 L/100km, which translates well to GCC highway cruising and stop-start city traffic. Nissan maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, keeping parts affordable and accessible. The Kicks historically retains high value, with local depreciation averaging only 8-10% annually, outperforming many European subcompact crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6L engine delivers a smooth 118 horsepower, providing enough pep for confident highway overtaking and efficient city navigation. Its 10.7-second 0-100 km/h time is respectable for the segment, while the Xtronic CVT is tuned for maximum fuel savings. With a compact turning circle of just 10.4 meters, it is exceptionally easy to maneuver through tight parking garages in Dubai or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to maximize every inch, offering best-in-class front legroom that accommodates taller drivers comfortably. The SV's automatic temperature control is specifically calibrated to handle 45°C+ summer peaks, ensuring the interior remains a sanctuary from the heat. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats and dedicated center console storage make it a highly functional space for daily errands and weekend road trips alike.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus for the 2022 Kicks, which comes standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. This includes Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, all of which are invaluable on the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the GCC. The inclusion of Rear Automatic Braking and 6 standard airbags provides peace of mind that is often missing in other budget-friendly crossovers.

The bottom line

Perfect for the value-conscious professional or small family, this low-mileage GCC-spec Kicks SV offers modern technology and class-leading cargo space at a fraction of the cost of a new SUV.
