Summary

This 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S is an exceptional find in the GCC market, offering the definitive 'everyday supercar' experience with a rare Python Green finish that holds a unique niche for resale. While the mileage reflects active enjoyment, it remains well within the typical 20,000 km annual average for the region, signaling a car that has been regularly exercised rather than left to sit in the heat. As the flagship of the 992 generation, it effortlessly outpaces dedicated exotics while maintaining the reliability Porsche is known for across the Emirates. For a GCC buyer, this represents a chance to own a high-spec, high-visibility 911 that handles everything from the stop-start traffic of Sheikh Zayed Road to high-speed weekend runs to Fujairah with equal poise.

This Car vs Other 2022 911s

With approximately 40,886 km on the odometer, this 911 has been driven roughly 20,000 km per year, which is remarkably standard for the UAE where highway commutes between cities are common. Unlike lower-mileage examples that may have sat in storage, this car has been regularly cycled, which is often better for the PDK transmission and seals in the desert climate. The Python Green exterior is a premium 'Special Color' that differentiates it from the sea of white and grey 911s, often commanding a specific premium among local enthusiasts.

TURBO S vs Lower Trims

The Turbo S adds significant hardware over the standard Turbo and Carrera models that GCC buyers prioritize, including the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and 10-piston front calipers for fade-free stopping in extreme heat. It also includes the high-end Burmester or Bose audio systems and 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus as standard, which provide essential ventilation for the summer months. The increased track width and active aerodynamics offer a level of stability at high speeds that lower trims simply cannot match.

911 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the McLaren Artura or Ferrari F8, the 911 Turbo S leads in daily usability and air conditioning performance, which is a critical factor for year-round driving in the Gulf. Its sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system provides superior traction on sandy road surfaces compared to its rear-wheel-drive competitors. Furthermore, the Porsche service network is significantly more robust across the GCC, ensuring easier maintenance in cities like Riyadh or Kuwait City compared to more niche supercar brands.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 11.1 to 12.0 L/100km, though spirited city driving in Riyadh or Dubai will see this rise; it requires high-octane Super 98 fuel. Porsche 911s, particularly the Turbo S, are known for having some of the strongest value retention in the UAE, typically depreciating much slower than Italian rivals. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 to 20,000 km, and with authorized Porsche Centers widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, long-term maintenance is straightforward.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure is the 2.7-second 0-100 km/h sprint, enabled by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six producing a staggering 800 Nm of torque. This power is deployed via an 8-speed PDK gearbox and all-wheel drive, making it a master of highway overtaking and high-speed stability on the long stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Standard rear-axle steering also makes this large-platform 911 surprisingly agile in tight city parking and mountain hairpins.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2+2 seating layout features premium leather with standard front-seat ventilation, a must-have for the GCC summer to keep the driver cool. The cabin is exceptionally well-insulated from both wind noise and external heat, making it a comfortable grand tourer for cross-border trips. Digital displays are crisp and integrate seamlessly with local navigation needs, while the dual-zone climate control is widely regarded as one of the most powerful in the sports car segment.

Safety

The Turbo S comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Porsche Stability Management (PSM), which is essential for maintaining control on sand-slicked tarmac. Standard LED Matrix headlights provide exceptional visibility for night-time desert highway driving, while advanced driver assistance systems like ParkAssist with a 360° camera make maneuvering the wide-body Turbo S effortless. Its reinforced coupe body and multi-stage airbag system provide world-class protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the fastest, most reliable supercar in the region without the fragility of an exotic, this Python Green Turbo S is a verified head-turner that is mechanically ready for daily use.
